GE WR30X28731 Replacement Parts

Ice maker in our 7 year old GE refrigerator stopped working periodically for no good reason. Temp in both compartments set and maintained with no problem, water supply not clogged. It just stopped working. Min service charge for a repairman around here is $125. Ordered this after checking U-tube for an install video and found a great one. This part is actually an updated ice maker and it works much better than the one that came in the refrigerator. Literally took 5 minutes to unpack and install. I highly recommend this seller, too, the part came as advertised through Prime within 2 days. I wish we would have updated it years ago.

This product replaced a leaky ice maker in the fridge. The replacement part was identical to the old part and installation was very easy. After the cool-down period, the new product began producing ice and has been working great for several months now.

If you have a GE Fridge with the icemaker in the door, don't bother calling a repairman. Using a simple tool kit, with small sockets, I changed this icemaker in less than 10 minutes and that is not an exaggeration. Two screws and 2 wiring plugs is all you have to deal with. It made ice in less than 5 hours (you have to wait for it to reach 15 degrees before it will make ice) and by the next morning the three batches they recommend you throw away, were done. The seller was excellent and had my item to me in just a few days, even during the holiday delivery rush, I was pleased with how quickly it arrived. You can pay someone to come out to your home, wait two weeks for the part and pay again, when the tech comes back out to do the repair if you want, but you really don't have to. This one was just TOO easy.

We installed this a couple months back and saved lots of money doing it ourselves. I found a how to video on YouTube and it was installed within a couple minutes. Been working great so far!

This was really easy to install and had no issues at all. I just hope this lasts longer than the one that came in my $2000 refrigerator which broke only after 4 years.
