Gtechniq G1 Clear Vision Smart Glass 100 ml

Decided to give this a try after seeing a couple reviews of it on YouTube and was suitably impressed. I've been using Rain-X for years to make my windows easy to scrape in the winter and always dread putting it on in the fall. So, I was looking around for something that performed roughly as well and didn't take hours to apply and buff out. This stuff just wipes on and then you use the residue remove to wipe off the haze. It becomes completely clear after that without the swirls and distortion you can get with Rain-X. As far as the beading and water sheeting at speed goes, it's good enough that I'll probably start putting it on in the spring as well as in the fall. The only small annoyance is that if the glass is dryish, it made my wiper blades squeak for the first couple of weeks but that isn't worth a star.

If you polish the glass with glass polish, prep properly, and put 3 layers like the instructions say, the durability is amazingInstalled over a year ago and no signs of wearNot recommended for diyers though

I read an article stating this was better than Rain X and would last 1-2 YEARS. I applied this on the driver's side and Rain X on the right side. There was little difference initially. After a few weeks, the Rain X side kept shedding rain at about 30 mph. The GTech side shed rain at about 40 mph. All in all, this takes roughly 5X longer to apply and deteriorated more quickly and costs roughly 50-100 times as much (seriously, a 23 oz bottle of rainx is 11X less than a tiny bottle of this). So much for you get what you pay for.

I love this stuff,works really well,feel it improved visibility in the summer sun. So easy to use,worth the money.Lasts a long time if apply 2 to 3 layers.Water beads up nicely.Great product,need to give it a try.

I thoroughly cleaned my windshield using a clay bar then applied this product as recommended. The next day we drove in the rain and had very little water running off. Cleaned the windshield again a week later but used the remover product first. Reapplied the treatment but still no joy as it rained again the next day and still no water running off.I would not recommend this product.
