There is a 97-year-old veteran ("Bob") in our senior community who for years has been the "flag-keeper". This year when someone took down the old torn and faded flag, he stood with his walker at our mailboxes waiting for someone with a car to take the neatly-folded and honored old flag to the local VFW for disposal. As I delivered it to VFW for him, I decided to order a new flag as a surprise. In addition, I wrote a program for a flag-raising ceremony and invited all the people in our section to attend. It was so beautiful: all the elderly people gathered together in chairs, Bob came out in his wheelchair, with a gentleman walking behind him carrying the flag. We all stood as it was placed into the flag holder and raised -- the veterans stood at attention and saluted while the rest of us placed our hand over our hearts and said the Pledge of Allegiance. We then sang (pretty much out of tune!) The Star-Spangled Banner, I'm Proud to be an American, and others. Such a good time we had! The flag is so gorgeous and clean and bright -- each one of us is tempted to stand at attention every time we come and go under it! Thank you. I would purchase this flag again and again.

I was just looking for my yearly flag replacement, and came across this pole which was listed as the one I purchased back in 2017. I live in central Texas, and it's been outdoors all year. It's held up pretty well over that time, although the paint is starting to get powdery, and the little thumbscrew that locks the pole in the mount had to be replaced due to the plastic head spinning on the metal threaded portion. No problem, I just found a male wing bolt in the shop and put that in instead. Regardless, this thing has lasted WAY longer than I ever thought it would. I obviously recommend this. I'll definitely buy another one when this one finally stops spinning or worse, if I don't end up installing a 20' pole out front.

Top notch kit! Embroidered flag made in the USA. Tangle free pole, and metal mounting brackets. I ordered two kits to use the other pole to fly the USMC colors. Annin is a dependable manufacturer that I have ordered from for years. Can't imagine going anywhere else. One quick tip, use the top eye hook to fasten the top grommet of the flag then the plastic fastener for the bottom grommet (pull flag and fastener down tight so the pole edge of the flag is taught, not sagging). The plastic fasteners will deteriorate over the years so if you only use one, save the other to replace some day (I've also cracked them by over tightening, especially if brittle from age).

This flag and pole arrived yesterday. I just got it up minutes ago. I already had a mount so just needed to assemble the pole and fit the plastic fasteners to the flag. There are some pros and a few cons, which I will list here:Pros: flag kit was reasonably priced at $39.99; flag is crafted in the U.S.A. and made of nylon (which I hope is sturdy in the long run); colors are vibrant and the stitch work is nicely done; brass grommets and the gold feature at the top of the pole add a nice contrast; once I got a hold of the directions on how to fit the grommets onto the flag using the plastic fasteners , things went quicklyCons: flag is very wrinkled because it came in the box folded - it should be rolled when placed in shipment box to avoided wrinkles (I have no iron and don't even know if nylon irons well so it's flying wrinkled - maybe steam would work?); there were no instructions in the box on how to fit the plastic fasteners to the flag using the grommets so I had to visit here on the web site for the directions, which are thankfully made available here - a visual of how to attach them should have been provided with the set (see attachment)I am pleased with the purchase and product for now. I got my flag up in advance of July 4th, 2020, which was my goal. Looking forward to seeing my flag fly in the breeze against a clean, clear blue sky as we celebrate another Independence Day! I probably read way too many reviews before I ordered this. Despite so many five stars, there are always a few people complaining about different things and I was nervous that we would have issues.I’m happy to report that the flag is great. It was easy to install. The quality is fabulous. It doesn’t wrap around the pole… For the most part. Let’s not get too picky here, most days it hangs just fine. If the winds really pick up, it can flip over on itself. But that’s not really a big deal for us, because we don’t have that many days with super strong wind.So far, it’s been about a month, and the pole is holding up just fine. No rust or weathering. We live near the beach and get a lot of fog. So the moisture can take our cheap/poor quality metals pretty quickly, but everything seems to be holding up just fine.If you are looking for a flag set, order this one. You won’t regret it.

The part that you screw in to the wall has broken 2 times it is no longer able to be used so I cannot hang my flag ! The reason I purchased this one because I thought it was beautiful and sturdy. So I would need the whole bottom replacement

Excellent design. It lasted about 1 1/2 years left outside on display 24 hours a day. I live in a high wind area. The pole finally broke. The flag was in good shape but a bit faded. I ordered a new one and hope to have the same results.God Bless America
