Awesome flag! I've included INSTRUCTIONS FOR ASSEMBLY. This flag actually does what they claims it will do!
Allied Flag American Home Nylon 3 by 5-Feet US Flag Set with 5-Feet Spinning Flag PoleThe flag did not come with instructions but if you need instructions for assembly, look under the PRODUCT DESCRIPTION for this flag on Amazon's website. Look for the heading, "Technical Specification". There you will see a link to the USER MANUAL in PDF format. Since it isn't extremely detailed, I will summarize how to assemble it.The flag is very well made and does not get tangled on the gutter like our previous flag. It is made of heavy duty material and the poles appear to be aluminum. When it is windy, the upper pole rotates within the clear rings/collars while the flag stays in place. ** It actually does what they claims it will do!*. The bottom of the TOP pole has a one-piece, plastic section with a ring, male threads and ends with a straight pipe. The ring has two Phillips screws (you don't need to touch them).Assembly Instructions:1. Locate the two clear, plastic rings. They each have one threaded hole. The rings slide over the upper pole.2. Insert one of the clear, plastic screws through each of the flag grommets and in to the threaded hole of each plastic ring.3. You may have to adjust the tightness of the screw so that it still allows the rings to rotate freely on the upper pole.4. Then attach the clip at the top of the pole (above the upper, clear ring) to the top flag hole grommet.5. Adjust the position of the clip to make sure the ring can still move freely on the pole.6. Insert the smaller diameter straight section of the upper pole, in to the lower pole. The small, straight section goes inside the hole of the female-threaded section just inside the lower pole (threads should be LOCATED AT THE TOP of the bottom pole). Since the threads are plastic, rotate the lower pole BY HAND. Turn it clockwise to thread the two pole sections together until it is snug. When complete, the top of the lower pole should be up against the plastic ring of the top pole. The threads should no longer be visible.Note: Remember, although both threaded sections are made of strong plastic, they are still plastic and can be easily damaged with pliers. With that warning, if you can't tighten the lower pole by hand, you could hold the white collar (right above the threads) on the top pole VERY LIGHTLY with pliers, while rotating the bottom pole section to thread them together.Note for step 6: I almost gave this flag 4 stars, because the threads on the inside of our lower pole, were not at the top as they should be. The female-threads are about 1-1/4" away from the opening. This means that the male-threaded portion of the top pole section can not engage the female-threads of the bottom pole section. I called Allied (the manufacturer). They apologized for the inconvenience and are sending us a complete replacement pole (both pole sections)! That's good service! IF the replacement has problems, then I will adjust the score accordingly.Earl S.

Made to Last - Even in a Maritime Environment
The flag, pole, and mount are all extremely well designed and made. The flag mount and pole are powder-coated aluminum, so they won't rust, and the supplied hardware is stainless steel. I live in a maritime environment, where even powder coated steel rusts quickly. The aluminum and stainless steel materials of this flag pole and mount are perfect to last a long time in any climate. It is easy to adjust the angle at which the flag pole extends: a few quick turns of a (stainless steel) wingnut is all it takes.Excellent, high quality product.

Sturdy and Dependable
Love this entire set! Easy to install. The flag and set up last for years. The only reason we ordered a new one is that it will eventually fade (like all fabrics exposed to the Sun daily). As mentioned, it lasts for a long time.

Used to be a good flag set. Now, not so much...
Purchased the original set in 2017, frequently flown and held up VERY well. Flag was starting to shred and was replaced with a new flag in 2021 (same pole). Due to storm, we replaced the flag set in 2022. Unfortunately, the new pole separated (simple press fitting), and would separate easily during use. So we stopped using it.We replaced the flag set again in 2024 and within a couple of weeks, the flag seams started to unravel. Contacted Allied for replacement and awaiting reply. We liked the fact that the pole spins and the flag generally does not tangle. Also, the mounting bracket is fully adjustable. Claims to be USA made and was reasonably priced. We were very satisfied with the original purchase, which is why we continued to stay with Allied Flag. However, the last two purchases have been disappointing.UPDATE: No response from manufacturer. Returned to Amazon for exchange. (Fortunately it was within the return window!)

Best Flag Set for the Money
I recently purchased one of these flag sets. The US flag is high quality with sewn stars, double hems, and bright colors. The two piece pole set is an interlocking with durable metal rods and a free floating design that prevents the flag from getting tangled in high winds. The flag mount is also a very sturdy solid metal. A number of my neighbors also have US flag sets but mine is the best looking and the sturdiest of all of them. The whole set costs around $40.00 and is made in the USA. I am very pleased with my purchase. It is a good product and I highly recommend it.

Didn't Last as long as I'd Hoped... Still Ok.
***UPDATE 5/2017***One of these snapped where the pole holder mounts to the bracket (at the wingnut) last week. Although my other two flag poles are holding up well, the "pot metal" used to make this one failed and snapped. Although it likely happened when the wind was blowing, I was still somewhat disappointed. That being said, I ordered another one as a replacement, we'll see how long it holds up.... I'm thinking the newer models aren't built with the same metals as the older ones...The flag is definitely of good quality - I expect it to last at LEAST one season, if not more. The bracket is of good quality as well. I didn't use the screws because they were hidden in the pole holder and I had already mounted the bracket by the time I found the included hardware. The pole is also good quality. I expect the flag holders (clamps) to break or dry rot from the sun over time. Hopefully it'll surprise me and last longer. Also, it seems like the pole has bearings in it which allow it to spin freely. As long as these bearings hold up, I expect the pole to last quite a while.

No customer support for failed product.
After displaying flag for only 2 months it came apart at stitches at seams between the stripes. Attempted to contact Allied Flag with no response. I paid extra to buy Made in America product.
