It does what I need it to do.
I run an AirBNB and need to take out the trash between each guest, and I couldnt bare the thought of all that plastic, and I would love to convert it into a fully sustainable airbnb overtime, and hopefully influence my guests along the way, because these little things make a big difference. I was really worried these would tear and break but they hold up great. These fit perfect on small bedroom and bathroom bins, and when my guests leave, I take the emptiest one and poke a hole in it, hang it from a nob or towel hook and fill it up as I do my cleaning. It holds up pretty good for what I put them through. I definitely dont recommend them for wet stuff, I havent tested it but I cant imagine that would work out. As for tearing a new bag off the roll, it takes some finessing. I tore a couple bags at the seal instead of the tear line, but somehow they stayed sealed at the bottom. I think I got the hang of it now.On a side note, they fit pretty good and the color is cute, it can look sterile without being in your face with some ugly orange drawstring. And somebody in the reviews said they are scented... they are not, lol.On another side note, to close them around your bin, I pinch it tight on one side, slighly below the lid/lip, where the bin tends to get skinnier further down from the top, and start twisting it tight, then i do a little twist like i would if i was wrapping my hair into a bun, and then i tuck it in, underneath itself. I promise it makes sense if you do it while you read that.Anyways hope this helps, Im about to order my second batch and figured Id write a review.

Help our Earth
These bags are the best way to help our environment so that plastic doesn't get onto our lairs, rivers and ocean and ultimately into animals and sea creatures. They also reak down in the earth quickly. Everyone should use these. As for 4 and not 5 stars, the only negative to mention is they need to come down in price so that all can afford to help out our precious earth. Recommend the seller.

Thin compostable bag for organic recycling
These are the right size for a small container I use for organic recycling. I mainly use these for the non-liquid dry foods and compostable paper products. I wouldn't use them for wet food items because they are very thin and tear easily. They also do not tear off the roll easily without tearing the bag. I need to use a scissors to cut them from the roll.

Convenient , sturdy, roomy and inexpensive
I had been purchasing the 3 gallon extra strength compost bags form the grocery store, but decided to order these for convenience and volume. I am very happy with the product! They are bigger than the ones I was getting. They are very sturdy. Easy to break off from the roll of bags. Volume will last me a long time. Highly recommend!

Bags don't fall apart before it's time.
The last compostable bags we had fell apart before we could get them out the door. But these bags hold together long enough to get them to the garbage truck.

These work okay if you use 3 or 4
A single bag is too thin for our kitchen compost (I use a countertop bin lined with a bag and move the bag outside to a bin nightly). When I store anything more dense than paper towels, the bag begins to fall apart when I pick it up. With anything moist inside (e.g. strawberries), putting the bag down on a surface leaves a wet residue on my countertops. It's porous, thin, and not sturdy.I have found that if you use 3-4 bags in the container at a time, it's almost sturdy enough.
