Really Fantastic

So I was not a huge fan of The Star Wars Archives - original trilogy, I thought it is an unnecessarily big ang bloated volume with stuff already published a million times. The base concept is the same for this book too, so if you dont like the idea of a gargantuan block of brick sitting in your lap, this book is not for you. With that said, I think this book delivers its premise better than its predecessor - stuff inside is more rare and the information is more new - altought I have to point out that the book draws heavily from "The Beginning" Phantom Menace documentary and other documentaries published on Youtube. My only problem with the book is that the pictures and the text go about in their own pace, so there are times where the interviews and pictures have no connection whatsoever. Sometimes the text catches up, then it loses it again. That is a stupid thing, but overall not a huge issue. I was very happy with this purchase and I read this book from beginning to end really soon after I bought it - something I can not say about the Original Trilogy edition which still sits on my shelf half read a year later. Printing and binding quality is superb, but it was also superb in the previous edition. Overall, I still think these books are way too big and should have come in a smaller format, but I think the writer really corrected a lot of mistakes from the first volume. I recommend it wholeheartedly!

Got for my best friend for Christmas; they loved it, had a little look and it’s got some amazing shots and information in there. Great if you are a true Star Wars fan

This is a nice book to go into the Prequel trilogy. I like the photo's just like in the previous book.Be aware that the book is thinner than the 40th 1977-1983 edition. This is due to lighter/thinner paper as the number of pages is same at 512. The paper size is the same. The spines show the difference in size.

This is a fine book in a nice slipcase but was smaller than I expected. I appreciate it isn't the huge coffee table edition that retails for over £100, but thought it might be more like an annual for example: as it is, it's about the size of a large paperback novel (or small hardback).While I'm on, be careful you check the edition: Amazon are discounting the first in this series, but it's the French version.

Great Book and follow up to Original TrilogyPacked full of pictures and info, some i had never seen before, this is well worth the £15 asking price i paid and is a great alternative to the massive full priced verison.

Beautiful book design, enjoyable to browse and read. I'm so grateful that they put out an inexpensive version of this book. Its so fun to read about the adventurers and pioneers that made history and changed the future through executing the task of realizing George Lucas' singular vision.
