effective
works very well. Bought this one for my bro a Christmas gift. I have had the very same make and model for 3 years now. I use it weekly. I love it. I had a large, cumbersome garment steamer, the "professional "kind. It did not work nearly as well as this compact, powerfulstamer. I keep it my bathroom and whip it out to steam my family's clothing. I hang the garments on a hanger form the shower curtain rod. No more ironing board, no more melting clothing, no more scorching! Quick, easy and extremely effective.

Works as Advertised!
This is a great steamer for travel. I purchased this steamer to use for an entire group of family members attending a wedding. I was able to steam and remove wrinkles off men's shirts made of nylon, cotton, and mixed cotton, blazers, ties, handkerchiefs, and women's blouses and dresses made of silk and nylon mix. It worked great and everyone was picture perfect for the wedding. As advertised, the was ready to use in less than a minute. It did project hot water droplets, even with the steam bonnet on, at times, so I would recommend using distilled water on delicate fabrics. Due to its compact size, the water receptacle does need to be refilled after 2 men's, long-sleeve shirts, size x-large (or one very wrinkled large shirt). However, given how well it works, it wasn't an issue. It does weight at least 7 lbs, so it does get tiring steaming for extended periods. Otherwise, no issues. It fit perfectly in my mid-sized, carry-on luggage.

Great Portable Steamer
We purchased this steamer because of it's size and portability. I was slightly concerned upon reading the other reviews but I have to say after using it for several weeks, it works very well! It is incredibly powerful and works on every fabric we have tried (including a heavier cotton). It heats up in a matter of seconds after plugging it in and pressing the power button. The lock function combined with the trigger are handy options. Yes, it can drip but I have experienced that with other steamers as well so I wouldn't let that put you off. Due to its size, I wouldn't choose this steamer if your habit it to steam all your clothes at once as you would have to continuously fill up the small water tank. But for a couple of items prior to wearing it's fabulous. Overall, it's a small but mighty unit and is a great day to day steamer.

Good steamer but it won’t replace your Rowenta iron
I have a Rowenta iron., which is why I opted for the Rowenta steamer. The steam comes out quickly and I love the fact that you can use regular water. I will say that after a couple of minutes of use it seems like the steam function needs to “catch up” a bit even when there is still water in the tank. So if you’re steaming something larger (like a dress) or extra wrinkly, it will take a few minutes. But overall it seems more powerful than many handheld steamers. It can’t compete with the power of a Rowenta iron, but for convenience, portability, and items for which an iron won’t work or is impractical, this is a good option.

Never waste time with ironing again!
I purchased this item for home use because I do not like to iron (what a hassle that process is) and because I have a lot of delicate clothing that I'm afraid to iron (aka burn). I now use this steamer on everything from delicate fabrics to heavy duty cotton.Prep time is less than 5 minutes - unraveling the cord, filling the water reservoir, plugging it in and waiting 45 seconds to heat up - I do all that, hang up my garment and boom goodbye wrinkles! So far I've only used one attachment (the soft fabric style one), but I'm sure I will learn to use the others over time. It sporadically leaves a water spot or two, but those dry in less than 1 minute so I don't really have a problem with that. The trigger you hold for water locks into "constant use mode" basically every time and I don't realize until I go to put it down, but that's not a big deal for me either. Yes, the water reservoir is small, but I don't use this on an abundance of items at once, I bought it for its mobility and convenience not to steam 100 garments at once. I use the water out of my bathroom sink (city water). The cord is plenty long enough for me and has a nice velcro strap for wrap-up storage.I personally have no complaints about this product and would recommend it to anyone and everyone!I absolutely love this steamer - It's a time-saving, hassle-free, life changer for me!!
