My daughter, a preK teacher loved the book. It was on her Amazon Wish List so made it an easy choice.

This book reminds me of the Asian art style of printmaking much like silkscreen. It tells the story of painters who must comply to the towns theme of butterfly's until one day a young artist breaks away to create her own vision of what art should be on an umbrella. She begins creating her own miniature umbrella's and is noticed by the Emperor. Great childhood story. Great artwork

I love this book. What a great message to anyone but to especially little girls. IT is ok to be different and to do what you love.

This a great story from thailand that my children enjoy very much. They get a taste for thai culture and a great moral as well.

Great book/fairytale but I think it will be better appreciated by my daughter next year when she is four.
