The scissors aren’t top-of-the-line by any means, but they work. The knife on the other hand, absolutely fantastic. It’s perfect and razor sharp for tasks like cutting green onions or other greens. It’s a knife in my block that I should be grabbing often.

This is an incredible knife. They need to be clearer that Shun doesn't make the shears, but the knife is so utterly brilliant that I don't care

Misleading. The shears are ok but much cheaper quality than Shun, which is what I thought I was buying. The knife appears to be genuine.

This shears are a joy to cut with! We have two other shun knives and decided to pick up this set. Always worth the money. Use for cutting herbs or meat! Shears easily come apart for cleaning. Highly recommend!

Good bargain depending on the price. Product title is very misleading. Seller/ Amazon should make the description more clear. It’s not a 2 piece Shun set though the shears appear very similar to shun shears. Shears are Kai as described later in the description.

I ordered this for the scissors and thought the knife would be a nice bonus. The scissors are great and I like that you can take them apart to wash them. The knife, oh the knife, quickly became my favorite in the house! So sharp, so comfortable, perfect for just about everything I do!

Given as a gift to my brother, who is currently in culinary school. He had two Shun classic already, the 8” Chef and the 3.5” paring. These perfectly complimented his current set.Prior to purchasing those initial knives, we definitely took a trip to Sur La Table & Williams Sonoma so he could try different knives to pick which felt the best to him. Not everyone will prefer Shun Classic, but perfect for him. I greatly encourage anyone looking to start a nicer collection of kitchen steel to do the same, you will thank yourself in the long run with confirmed satisfaction.

Just noticing a couple things after owning for two or so months. 1. There is a circle with the letters “NSF” on the description side of blade. 2. On the side where there should be Shun in gold writing and the Japanese lettering the gold text is missing… knife and scissors work fine but are these imperfect knives that would not be able to go to retail stores? Unsure but wouldn’t have bought them if that is the case and am not happy with the uncertainty.

We originally purchase the knife from a knife store to match our shun chef knife, however I returned it right away as this was cheaper and the kitchen scissors were a bonus. Happy with my purchase
