Beacon Audio BCN-PHX01 Phoenix Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker (Neon Green)

I picked this up because of the reasonable price and solid reputation. I found it worked very well as a bluetooth speaker paired with my iPad. Very decent sound for a causal get-together on the backyard patio. However, it didn't seem to have nearly the audio oomph I needed as a speaker for my outdoor home theater. AND...when I plugged in the 3.5mm headphone jack to try and give a direct signal from my projector's audio source, the controls became very wonky (couldn't seem to control volume up or down).On the plus side, the speaker matches my Peridot Luxxella Outdoor Patio Sectional perfectly and it is a solid bluetooth speaker for casual gatherings where we want some music playing. So if you are looking for a decent bluetooth speaker to throw in a backpack or bring with you camping and are only going to stream audio, this is a good value.

This little beauty is remarkable. The sound is great for such a small and inexpensive device, and it's adorable. There's a lot of volume if you want it, but it sounds great at low volume too. I use it outside on the deck and while working in the garden, inside just about everywhere, and even in my old Honda that doesn't have an aux connection. It's amazing how long it goes without recharging.Connecting to my iPhone is a little awkward, but a lot of that is on the iPhone side. You've got to hold the on/off button down quite a while to get the connection. I find the volume buttons difficult to manage, so I control the volume from my phone. I gave a red one to my daughter's boyfriend for his birthday, and he loves it too. I love the lime green. It looks exactly like the picture, and the blue light looks great with the green.

First off....you get what you pay for! If you expect perfection then you will be let down. This is a single little speaker and small. I bought this one for the color....Im a sucker for bright colors. Then this one & the others in different color options all for pretty favorable reviews. At $50 for the speaker & the nice design I figured the price was fair. The sound quality is fine for most needs and good for the price point of the speaker. Volume like stated by others you need to get used to but its not a big deal. I like this little speaker...overall a good buy & Im happy I picked one up.

Great sound for the size. I have another one of these speakers in white that I purchased elsewhere and it has a microphone in it so I'm able to answer phone calls and talk directly into the speaker. I thought this speaker would have the same capability, but was disappointed to find that it didn't. Not a deal breaker, it's still a good Bluetooth speaker.

I've been using this speaker regularly for the past 2 weeks and it works really well. I was able to pair it with my phone and laptop, and it can connect to non-Bluetooth devices through the auxiliary jack. It came just as shown in the picture and has a rubbery feel to it. Sound quality is pretty good for a speaker of its size; the volume control, track change, and pause/play buttons on top of the device are a plus. Overall very satisfied!

Produces a nice quality and level of sound for what it is. Certainly an improvement for public listening over onboard iPad sound. But as you'd expect, not concert hall stuff. But fun for sitting around the table outside spinning songs. Complaints about volume adjustment clunkiness are technically correct but irrelevant. Just turn all the way up and use device volume instead.

This is prefect for anywhere, with very minimal distortion at hight volume is sounds really good. Two speakers one on left one on right and a downward firing subwofer. This fits the bill at twenty bucks, it can be used without the fear of scratching it,etc.. I cant see why the other colors are more than double in price.

I paid $30 for this and don't have any other Bluetooth speakers to compare it to but it plays loud and clear without distorting. I had my phone in my pocket and could only get about 20 feet in a line of site. It is great for moving around the house with me and would recommend it, especially at this price.
