I dont have afro hair - I have very much white person hair with unruly curls that stick out everywhere and often tend towards frizz.I've been following the curly girl method to try and tame my curls and make them tidier and less frizzy an one of the recommendations is to move away from synthetic brushes and plastic combs and use a wide tooth natural material comb.This comb is perfect for this and I find my hair is less frizzy with much more defined curls using this on wet hair.It's easy to tease out any knots and it doesnt seem to get caught in my hair.It looks good quality it feels great in the hand and importantly it does the job with my hair.It's really cheap price wise and I would happily get another one as I think its great value.

These combs are really useful for combing through frizzy hair, especially after washing, or dyeing, and I also use one to get good, even coverage when using a hair dye.This comb is made from wood, and is good quality, although the same can't be said for the cellophane packet it comes in. A small recyclable box would have been nicer for an item of this price, and also make it far more attractive to give as a gift.The comb works well, so no complaints in that area. I still prefer my plastic and metal Afro pick combs, as I don't think this will be suitable for use with hair dyes, in case it stains the wood.If you only want it to tame frizzy hair though, its very good.

This comb is light but very strong and durable, the ergonomic design of the handle provide good grip and easy used. I prefer wooden comb than plastic comb for me this is more healthier for your scalp, as it does distribute natural oils from the scalp trough out the entire hair strand which leaves your hair less greasy.I suffer from bad falling hair and sensitive scalp, I used this to help boost blood circulation for healthy scalp and stimulates the follicles to produce more hair strands,increasing hair growth.I used this every night just to give my scalp a gentle massage and it helps to  calms my nerve and quiet my mind. Using Wooden combs is cost effective and good for environment  as well because they  last longer, the teeth rarely break and recyclable. This wooden comb is very cheap but the quality is comparable to other expensive wooden comb.

As a hairdresser the main thing about these combs is that they run along the scalp without scratching my clients head. This one doesn’t. It’s lovely and smooth. I’m not a black hair specialist but I do do a lot of tonging that’s in fashion now and this is perfect for combing through the tonged waves without pulling them out to leave a beachy on trend feel. Ideal for any wavy hair without causing frizz. Feels great to hold and I love the peach wood. Much nicer than plastic. This would also be ideal for beards as it won’t scratch your face.

Similar to the current stock images above, the shiny, smooth finish comb measures around 5.75 cm (max) wide x 15.75 cm (max). Sturdy, it is nicely rounded on the finish, as are the ‘teeth’.There are some colour differences on the one I received that appear to be under the varnish-type finish. I assume it is characteristic of ‘peach wood’, as detailed in the product description above, at the time of writing.The brand name is on one side only.Popping through the letterbox, it came simply presented in a cellophane-type wrap & cardboard wrap.[5 images attached]

I use these type of combs all the time. I dont have afro hair, infact I have dry, frizzy hair that's quite thin and a pain in the you know what!If I put a brush or ordinary comb near it, its frizzy disaster!These are great for just rsking through my hair after I've washed it and also brilliant for combing through a home hair colour.I usually get the metal ones but this wooden one is really nice, well made and goes through my hair nicely.Good product and I recommend.

I got this lovely wooden comb for my daughter who’s got beautiful thick curly hair and is very easy to comb her with this brush. I use it when her hair is wet I found it to easy than when is dry. I find this brush to be smaller for her hair when is not wet because she has big value hair and this brush is only good when her hair is wet. Overall I’m very happy with brush it make detangling easy and doesn’t damage/breakage the hair.
