If you choose to read this book, I hope it blesses your heart as it has mine.It is a wonderful and graciously written book helping those whom our education system left woefully ignorant to understand the dark side of socialism/communism. Lutzer helps sift out the noise and helps clarify the conflicting issues that are confounding the hearts of many believers today. His hope is to draw "everyone" back to reality so they can properly evaluate the events occuring in our society today through God's eyes. He then goes further to challenge Christians to look deeper to understand the unseen needs of the "individuals" who are being "used" by those with underlying and destructive agendas. We need to look into our own hearts as much as identify the characteristics which cause them to be vunerable to unwittingly participate in the gang mentality and actions that are helping to divide and destroy America.We need the heart and eyes of Jesus to reveal why we are all so vunerable to being manipulated by the false narratives that are driving the chaos today. I had been struggling with an unidentified heaviness in my heart for our communities and country. This book has helped me collect and sift many conflicting thoughts and feelings. It is helping to provide some clarity and ways to connect in meaningful ways to minister to the hearts that Jesus is brings my way.You see, ever since the riots... God has only brought young black women into my home as my help. I have always believed and treated everyone the same. Color was only skin deep, but the recent anger expressed by our black community left me confused and fearful. His challenge to me was learning how to share and demonstrate His love in ways their minds and hearts can hear- in spite of the fear in my mind created by the voices of the media. Their fear, frustrations and pain is very real, even if they have been manipulated into expressing it in a destructive manner. Their life experience and 'culture' does form a radically different perspective, which I am beginning to more fully understand. It makes our ability to communicate effectively, complex at best, and perilous at worst when agitators become involved.With that realization alone, God threw me into the deep end of the pool without human guidance- only Him.My first assignment was a young woman whose fiance, the father of 2 of her children was murdered (unsolved) 20 yrs ago. She attended the protests downtown. Of course, these details were not revealed for some time. It was a very uncomfortable time for both of us as we carefully weighed every word we spoke. Eventually It was in exploring our beliefs about our faith in Christ which finally broke through the fear and anxiety in both of our hearts.This began a journey of wonderful transparent conversations where we developed an incredible bond. I am incredibly thankful that God allowed us to push through our fears. All this occured before I found this book which explained and confirmed God's fingerprints on our experience. I love when He does that.Since then He has brought several others. What rich learning experiences and blessings those journeys have been for us all.I invite every person to love well by stepping through your fear with one person at a time. The first of whom may be yourself. As you read this book you might feel the tendency to become defensive from time to time, but keep reading because it will likely end up in a place you don't expect. This book will undoubtedly help prepare your heart for traversing difficult conversations we should all have, one on one, if we hope to disinfranchise the false narratives driving the division of our country.

A great book that everyone needs to read and under stand the issues we face!

As a Christian who is concerned about the path our nation is taking, guidance for our daiy interactions with the mess out there is very much appreciated. Think about the messaging in this book and it will help you as you work your way through your everyday life with your Bible in hand.

If you are wondering where America is headed read this book! You will start to realize why the Bible makes so much sense!

Tells exactly what is going on these days! Much needed information!!

The reader can easily associate the facts of this book to what we identified was somehow wrong with and how we got to the current state of events in our culture. Having this overview of historical facts can certainly guide us in our understanding of the mess we are in culturally and socially, how to discuss it and more. The clearer understanding of these truths will make it easier for one to stand firm and to not remain silent for lack of deeper understanding of revolutionist progressive languge and agendas.It's a must read that I have shared with many.

Enoch Burke has taken a deepdive into the heretical teachings of John Piper and Sam Allberry. He judiciously points out, with Piper and Allberry’s own words, the error in their teachings. The thoroughness in Burke’s research is seen throughout the book. The fact that Piper has been teaching this heresy for decades is appalling. I was one who thought he was a sound theologian and had just veered off course more recently. He has been polluting the theological waters for years. The fact that both Piper and Allberry are associated with The Gospel Coalition is telling all by itself. Allberry has also been associated with RZIM as a speaker. Now that Ravi’s duplicitous and sinful lifestyle has been revealed tothe world, it becomes more apparent how he allowed Allberry to become a speaker.One of the biggest problems in the Church today is the lack of discernment and lack of biblical knowledge. Burke helps us to be more discerning by biblically pointing out the errors of these men. We must learn to be Bereans and take everything to the Word of God “to see whether these things were so” (Acts 17:11). In order to do so correctly, we must keep everything in context. Context rules in biblical hermeneutics! For those who always complain that we should be more loving and not mention names, please refer to your Bible and research how many times the Apostle Paul calls out heretics by name in the public forum. And don’t forget, Jesus also called out the false teachers of his day. We are seeing a great apostasy in the church today and it is absolutely sickening the number of false teachers and preachers who spew out heretical garbage. And equally sickening is the millions of people who prefer to have their ears tickled. Piper and Allberry fall into this category.This book is very well written and I highly recommend it to anyone who is truly seeking to know the truth about these popular preachers. Burke has helped me tremendously on my journey to becoming a more informed and discerning Christian.

Erwin Lutzer has written a thorough and thoughtful treatise on Marxism and how it is a terrible idea and ideal in our society. If you are a Marxist you should hear this viewpoint. If you are not a Marxist you should empower yourself with this knowledge. If you are a person of faith you should certainly get this important information. Ideas like Marxism gain traction and followers through deception and lies. Empower yourself with the truth!

Erwin Lutzer’s sound insightful commentary on the attempts to undermine Christian teaching in these “woke” days is encouraging to all who would stand strong on their Biblical principles. I strongly recommend listening to his sound teaching on his website.

This is a book all Christian believers should read. Things are getting worse for believers in the world as we approach the soon return of the Lord Jesus, and this book will help you keep your eye on the ball. Recommended reading.

This book must be read by born again believer’s, and any others wanting to know what’s happening in our world.Thankfully it is not about politics but about how Christians need to respond to our culture and to be aware of what’s happening.This book is one I could hardly put down—besides the Bible, it’s a must read🎶🎶🙏

Thanks to Pastor Lutzer, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. A desperately needed and sober look at the world around us. A peeling back of the curtains to reveal the roots and aims of the leftists in society today as they continue to gain power and silence opposition. Let this book strengthen your resolve to follow Christ, not succumb to the temptations of this world, and to continue to seek a life of repentance, holiness, love for Christ and a life of truth and humility. I wish I could admonish this book as eloquently as the author makes his arguments but suffice it to say, you should definitely read this book!

An eye opening look at what is going on in today’s culture. It’s heavy reading but so important. Almost feels like a university course. I’m reading it with my teenagers and, along with the workbook, we’ve gleaned plenty of insights. Highly recommend to anyone concerned about how we got to where we are.
