Best value for the money compared to the oem honda, which is triple the cost. Quality is not the best but it gets the job done. This is the second time I had to order one since the other rear door actuator went off. Only con would be the flimsy, soft stopper thingy this comes with. I reused the Honda one. Problem solved.

This door latch mechanism is a perfect fit in our Honda CRV.The unit does not come with the door button actuator rod or body cover so be careful when disassembling the old unit and reuse those items. Also remove the electrical connection cleanly to avoid damaging the foam gasket.Installation is as easy as the experience of the installer. In other words take care as the window should be completely removed to ensure not being damaged by trying to force the assembly out. Some claim to not have to do this step but I'd rather err on the side of caution.The latch screws are factory installed VERY tightly and a proper #3 Philips in an impact driver or hex shaft driver with wrench should be used to avoid turning out the head.The use of proper panel tools is highly recommended to avoid retainer damage.Check the solenoid action before completely buttoning everything up to ensure operation.A novice should expect to spend around an hour/ hour and a half or so to complete this repair. Experienced tech around 30-45 minutes according to the rate guide.With a little care you'll be back in business with a quiet, properly functioning lock.

make sure you have the proper tools to get the 3 screws out of the door everything else is fairly simple ..theres a few good videos on youtube on installation. you will have to take the metal hook off your old unit and place it on the new one

This product only worked for 90 days after purchase.

I got this in October 2021 to replace a lock actuator on my wife's 2009 Honda CR-V and after some trial and error, it was installed and working great. Fast forward to June 2022,and suddenly it is making a horrible loud grinding noise when locking. It does still lock, and there's no noise when unlocking, but it was so bad that I had to order a new one to keep her happy. When installing the new one, I tested a lot of variables to see if it was something I had done wrong on the first installation. Ultimately, I came to the conclusion that the unit itself has a problem with an internal mechanism that is still causing the grinding noise even when there is no structural attachment to the locking components, only the electrical connection plugged in. It was great for the price but not worth the aggravated wife...

Fast and well packed. A little bit rough to open and close the door but does the job.

The unit works perfectly and was delivered promptly! What more could you ask for?
