Sola Big"X" Box 24" Aluminum Level w/Contoured Grip - BX24

Definitely my favorite level. Want Stabilla-esque quality without the price? Get these Sola Levels. I think they’re made in Hungary as opposed to Germany but the quality is definitely there. Plus, a red level on a job site is hard to misplace. Yellow level? Is it a Stanley? A DeWalt? A stabilla? Is it actually just a banana? Too common of a color. Also for the Stabilla purists out there that say they’re the most accurate- I’ve been doing construction a while and I’ve yet to come across a project that needed to be scientifically certifiably level or plumb. Unless you’re attempting to build a skyscraper from the ground up and you just have to use a box level, then I don’t see the importance of a $200 level when a $60 level will do 99.9999% of the jobs you need, just as well. Just like Festool fan boys, I’m sure there’s some Stabilla fan boys reading this and honestly , do your jobs last longer because your level costs more than mine? Nope.

Not a lifetime guarantee like advertised, only a thirty year guarantee on the accuracy. Also the build quality is not nearly as nice as the 96 series Stabilas that I normally buy. I returned it after two days and just bought the Stabila from my local lumber yard, because I know that if anytime in the future that level isn't accurate as long as its not bent I just walk into the lumber yard and swap it for a new one.

So I have other Sola levels that I love. While I was figuring out which ones I’d buy I bought this one by accident. It’s a good level but lacks the handle. It’s also smaller in dimension and lacks a hefty feel compared to the Big Red level.

Just got it out the box and the two bubbles do not read the same. What is worse is that I also bought the jam level kit and the same thing happened with the 32" inches level. I tought I was buying a good quality levels as stabila are. If you are a professional DO NOT BUY THIS ONE. I am so dissapointed. I will return them ASAP. 2 bad levels out of 4 tells everything. They are not worth the money. They are about the same price as stabila.
