Sheaths Brown Leather 10in

I just purchased the Rough Rider Throwing Knife . It does not come with a Sheath ( I knew that ahead of time ).I was searching on Amazon for a decent sheath ( nothing really outrageously expensive because the knife is only a $15 throwing knife ).But the knife has a 9 1/4” blade . ( was not sure how wide though ).So I took a chance with this sheath . ( $11 ?? I’m thinking it’s going to be one of those fake flimsy leather sheaths ).Boy was I wrong assuming that !!!This sheath is thick ! Quality leather ! And just about perfect for my Rough Rider Throwing Knife ( RR490 ).Once the knife is in the sheath , I tie the leather strings to secure , and then I shake a little to see if there is any wiggle room .There definitely is but not to the point of returning .I’d say it is almost perfect IMO .So glad I found this !If the blade was 1/4” longer , and about 1/8” wider , it would be snug as a bug .But I am NOT Complaining.To give you a good perspective on the knife measurements ( the Rough Rider I use ), the overall length is a little over 13 3/4 “ . The blade itself measures 9 1/4 “.The handle measures 4 1/2 “ ( when you slide the knife into the sheath , the beginning part of where the handle meets the blade , the handle end catches on to the lip opening of sheath —- do you understand what I mean )?? I took a chance. I wanted a leather sheath to replace a ballistic nylon that came with my Becker BK 9. As it turns out I actually like the nylon sheath just fine, so this one is destined for my Condor Moonstalker instead. That has yet to arrive, but based on how the BK9 fits it, it will work out just fine. The knives have very similar dimensions.This leather sheath totally over-delivers for the price, as others have said. It’s a bit stiff, but honestly it might be better for it. The retention of my Becker is superb. No need for the leather tie that it comes with, but you certainly can thread it through a lanyard hole for added security. I don’t know how this quality is produced at this price. Maybe I don’t want to know...I could easily see it retailing for 3X as much. If you don’t like the stiffness, oil it up. 5 stars. Well 5 1/2 stars when factoring in price. Be patient. Mine took 10 days to arrive. It was worth it.

I have a 10" Mercer bread knife that is insanely sharp and didn't want to buy one of those cheap, plastic knife guards. I finally made my own knife sheath out of a large empty water bottle. It looked nice, but the knife kept slipping out. When this knife sheath arrived, I was expecting something that was reasonably good and maybe a bit floppy. Wow, was I surprised! This sheath is made of very thick, stiff, leather—like a gun holster. I couldn't be happier. And the knife is a perfect fit and stays put even without tying the rawhide cords. And it even arrived days earlier than expected.

I ordered this sheath for around $11 dollars to house a ‘15 in total length ‘10 blade custom kitchen knife. First I was dubious as to the quality of a sheath of this size being sold for this price point being of a very good quality. Well I didn’t have to be concerned as knife fit my ‘10 blade perfectly. The leather is qenuine cow hide and very think and durable. The sheath is also stiched very well and come with double leather tie downs which secure the knife tightly without fear of losing knife. I would buy this knife again for sure! Win! Win!

Could not ask for more in this price range, fits my 10.5 inch butcher knife perfect, very happy, will buy another.

I have to say, $12 I wasn’t expecting a whole lot, and I was pleasantly surprised. The leather is thick and heavy, the stitching is even, the edges are buffed smooth, and it perfectly fits a 15 inch bowie. I’ll be buying more. If there was one improvement I would love to see, and would pay a little more to get it, it would be a snap and strap instead of a tie to retain the knife.

Bought this for the Kabar Warsword, as the nylon sheath that came with it was gigantic. Although it came in a natural color, a quick sanding with fine grit sandpaper and a couple coats of Kiwi Black Leather Shoe Dye, it matches my scales. Now just to wetform it.

I was shopping for a sheath for my 9 in fillet knife blade. I was very surprised at how thick the leather was (perfect for a sharp fillet knife) and how well constructed. Very nice purchase and especially for the price!
