Not the game of the year but certainly not bad
I recently obtained a PS5 in march with birthday cash. So I bought two games, this and the medium.Godfall while it has a lot of flaws, locking it’s features of co-op and matchmaking behind a startlingly high level 50 grind, also offers a very campy tale of two brothers. If you or your kid enjoy a bit of transformers, this is kinda the same base for the quality of the story, light, easy and simple. The game shines on the boss fights, every one feels strong and they are truly fun to fight meshed with the PS5 graphics it really makes for a great time. If you can get this game for around $5-10 go for it. Just don’t think it’s going to be one of a kind

The game itself offers quite a bit as far as characters and build development. Builds seem almost endless with charms, gear, skills, etc, but there is almost no instruction on how to do it all. It’s very tinker-and-find-out feeling. The graphics are nice and the environments are well developed with a rather open feel that leave some option for exploration and keep the game from getting too linear.The gameplay leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion. The story is not very deep and the actual fight engines feel flat. Despite being able to control about a dozen different characters with their own “styles” of fighting, I found the controls were clumsy and annoying. Singling out bad guys in large groups is difficult, several mobs are quite quick and always seem irritatingly out of reach due to the fighting styles all relying on close quarter combat, and since there is no jump functions at all in the game and the player moves at a snails pace, precise shield “timing” is the only thing that keeps you alive. Sometimes. No not really. You’ll die A LOT.If you’re looking for a beautiful game, you won’t be disappointed. Unfortunately playing this game is like having a Lambo that drives like a U-Haul. Glad I only spent $10 on it new.
