Kids Alarm Clock, Toddler Sleep Training Clock with Night Light, Sound Machine, Nap Timer, Cute Clocks for Bedside Desk Table, Christmas Birthday Gifts

I got this clock for my 2.5 yr old. He was waking up at 5am or earlier every day and I was desperate. It was a fair price compared to some of the other brands that were closer to $50. He’s probably a little young to fully understand it, but I prepped him and told him about his “special clock” that was coming in the mail and showed him lots of pictures and talked about what the different colors meant. I attached the 4 pictures of the bedtime sequence if you want to use them to review with your child.Here are some details about the clock that I wish I had known before it arrived:-you set the sleep (8pm) and wake up time (630am)-the blue light comes on 30 mins before the bedtime (730pm)-when it hits bedtime the light turns off and the character’s eyes close (8pm)-all night there is no light except the backlight of the numbers and face-30 mins before wake up time the clock turns yellow (6am)-at wake up time the light turns green and stays on for an hour, (630am-730am) after an hour the lights turn off but the character’s eyes are open-the nap time is a separate setting and a different color so for that and other reasons we don’t use it (I THINK it’s red for the whole nap time and you can set different increments of time)I wish that you were able to personalize the clock a bit more. I would love it to be a blue light at bedtime that stays on ALL night and green in the morning at wake up time that stays on until you turn it off. Right now, there are basically 4 colors and things my son needs to remember. Sometimes he wakes up in the middle of the night or sleeps past the green light time so it can be confusing. He’s gotten the hang of it especially since the character’s eyes are open or closed and he understands that, but it would be simpler if you could change it to your needs.Overall, I do like the clock and my son has been able to understand it after some practice. It’s nice that the battery will save the time and bedtime settings, but you still need to plug it in for daily use. When we take it to travel, we don’t have to reset the time or sleep settings though. We also plug his sound machine into the USB which works great. The preset sound machine sounds were really poorly done in my opinion (the wave one played only like 3.5 wave sequences and then would cut out in the middle of a wave and restart). I do feel like the outer light is a little bright, when the yellow one comes on I worry that it will wake him up, but so far it’s been okay. You can adjust the brightness of the face/backlight, but not the ring light around the face, at least as far as I could tell. It would be nice to be able to adjust both.I would buy this clock again and recommend it to people with older toddlers/kids or kids who really understand colors and the concept of sleep/wake. I think it will grow with him and we will eventually use it as an alarm clock.

I’m not sure if something was wrong with it or what. But it kept going to the wake light at nighttime. And then the bedtime at morning time. I called and tried to fix but nothing worked. It kept doing that. I didn’t like how the eyes are hard to know if their open or closed. I returned and got one that connects to my phone.

My daughter loves her penguin clock. Unfortunately, after a year of use, it has stopped functioning properly. First, the temperature display went wonky. Then, the button that allows you to change the light color stopped working. Yesterday I tried to change the clock back from Daylight Savings Time, and the button for changing the clock time wasn't working. So it's pretty much useless at this point. We will be ordering a different brand of clock to replace it!

Great alarm clock but the lights are very bright. We tried the lights for 2 night and it would wake my son up because the light was so bright. So the 30 mins before wake up light is so bright it light up the whole room. I wanted him to wake up at 6:30 but when the before wake up light would wake him up instead of the wake up light.

I set the alarm to go off everyday at 6. It doesn't work everyday. However, I told the company and they are promt to solve the issue!

I bought this alarm clock for my 2.5 year old son who is an early riser. I wanted him to know when it was okay to leave his room or call for mom and dad. I didn't realize that this clock first lights up yellow 30 minutes before the set "Wake" time and its very bright. My son was then calling me to get him out 30 minutes before I wanted him to get out. I had to adjust the time to 30 minutes after my ideal set time. Not sure why it turns one color 30 minutes before and then green when its time to wake up. All my son understands is the light is on and its time to get up!That is my only complaint. Otherwise it is a super cute clock. If you are just looking for a cute alarm clock then this might be for you.

I got this clock to help my 2 year old know when she can call for me in the morning. The clock turns "yellow" half an hour before it turns green at the proper wake up time. I've been telling my daughter over and over yellow light means wait and green light means call for mama. Well I just went in there early because I suspected she needed a diaper change and I saw the "yellow" light for the first time. Its green. My poor kid has been following my directions the whole time.She likes the clock so I'm not going to return it even though I really want to. I have to change the settings on it so her wake up time is half an hour later so my poor kid doesnt get confused anymore.Other than that the clock is fine but dont tell your kids anything about a yellow light because there isn't one!

I bought this alarm to help my 6 year old get himself up for school. It worked for him the first week, I think out of excitement. The alarm turns off after a few minutes, and so he's figured that out and just sleeps through it now :( I've even turned the volume higher. It's pretty loud. So now, after the alarm sounds, I'll go in his room and get him up.The quality is great and sturdy. It also has a few different alarm sounds to choose from and several colors to lighten the screen. Some colors are really bright. My son likes that the eyes of the owl open/close during the day/night. The settings of the time/alarm stay even when the clock is unplugged so no need to reset everything if the alarm gets unplugged. Which happened to me ;)
