Not the worst addition to a Bowie collection
This collection of Decca-era/pre-Ziggy oldies is the kind of fun that I have to be in just the right mood to appreciate, but when I am in that mood, it scratches an itch. These songs have more of a showtunes-y, cabaret vibe than the rock'n'roll iconography most people associate with Bowie, but even with these early songs, there is plenty of weirdness just below the surface. This reissue is a fun replica of the original gatefold sleeve vinyl release. The comic strip art is great, even if the liner notes are painfully microscopic. It's a cute conversation piece and a nice addition to anyone's Bowie music collection.

Fantastic Japanese mini-LP of rare Bowie, much of which is excellent.
The material: Some of this could be on Space Oddity, or even Hunky Dory and not feel out of place, like "Let Me Sleep Beside You", "Karma Man", "The London Boys", "Come and Buy My Toys", "There is a Happy Land", "Little Bombardier" and "When I Live My Dream" -- all classic Bowie. Under-appreciated and overshadowed in 1973 by the RCA-era Bowie which was mind-blowingly excellent start (1970) to finish (1980). This is a must-have for any serious Bowie fan. This particular version: incredible perfect replica of the original 1973 gatefold album. Fantastic audio as well. Japanese mini-LP. Outside of RCA Bowie, I'd head here before going past "Scary Monsters", though "Let's Dance" is great for what it was meant to accomplish.

Super sound
This collection may not have been David’s favourite, but for the sheer quality of the sound it is well worth another listen, and seeing that beautiful sleeve again is a treat. Actually, the songs are fascinating, too, if not exactly the stuff we all love him for. There is plenty here to befuddle new fans, but we’re lucky to have such early, bizarre songs, especially in this incredible-sounding form. He really does sound like he’s in the room with you at times. Please Mr Gravedigger is the weirdest of the lot, in my opinion, with the sound effects, sniffing and sneezing, etc, but there are also some genuinely beautiful songs on here, too.

David Bowie por siempre
Las ediciones japonesas son extraordinarias pero ésta en particular es maravillosa. David Bowie en una compilación de sus inicios, remasterizada y con un sonido impecable.

Staggering Quality
Master is totally brilliant. You have never heard this sound so good. The quality of the cardboard sleeve and inserts are a collectors dream.
