Winter sale! A Versatile and Powerful Headlamp in a Compact Housing. This is a great all-around headlamp, for camping, backpacking, running, hunting, keeping around the house or car. 75 lumens of bright white light for when you really need to see. Or use just as much as you need. This headlamp features 3 modes of white light which cycle in this progression: MEDIUM 30 Lumens HIGH 75 Lumens LOW 5 Lumens Cycle between White Light and Red Light using a long press of the switch. This means if you are using the headlamp in Red Light mode for night vision you will not have to cycle through white light (and ruin your night vision) after you have turned the head lamp off. The FreeFly will come back on in whatever color light was last used. Other design features include: IPX6 Water Resistance Adjustable Tilt Li-Ion Battery and USB Cable Included Rechargeable. Mini-USB port on body of headlamp can be plugged into anything with a USB port (car charger, laptop, phone charger). Also great for solar recharging using a portable solar panel.

Get UL!
This is an amazing headlamp. For its size it is very bright. The battery is decent, I was able to around 3 hours out of it around camp and did not notice the headlamp dimming. It is bright enough to hike by and USB rechargeable which is its greatest benefit since most backpackers carry some kind of power bank. It's the lightest rechargeable headlamp I've found and cheaper than other options (black diamond, petzl etc.) It's one of my favorite pieces of backpacking gear, I highly recommended this for those seeking to lower their base weight.Update.Still a great headlamp. Replaced the headband with some shockcord and a cordlock and it weighs 1.2oz! I currently swap between this headlamp and a nitecore NU20 depending on the trip. It may not always be my go to light as I am experimenting with keychain lights that weigh less than 1oz to see if they will be an acceptable replacement. This still is the best deal for a decent, very light, rechargable headlamp.

Super bright Super smart headlamp
Super bright! The high beam lights upwards of half mile across a river valley we were hiking through. It looked like a stage spotlight. Recharger completes the five star rating: no more trips to the pharmacy to purchase pairs pairs of watch batteries.Don't forget to remove the clear film from battery cartridge in order to allow connection

Overall satisfied with both purchases
I give this product four stars only because it is difficult to me to assign perfection to anything. I bought this headlamp, and a Firefly made by the same folks. The Firefly was up and running as soon as I put the battery in. The FreeFly did nothing except put on a remarkable blinking light show when plugged in to charge.Knowing I may not much of a bright medic myself, I dropped a line to customer service. Although it was New Year's Eve weekend and I expected no reply for a few days, CS replied within a few hours. Turns out the battery is removable, and is shipped with a piece of tape over the terminals. Once this was addressed, the light charged and performed as expected.I'm a paramedic and an ultralight hiking enthusiast. The Firefly is for my pack. It packs a lot of function in a tiny package, and a spare battery only costs a few grams. The FreeFly is just a little heavier, but still plenty compact to go into a cargo pocket, and recharges anywhere there's a USB port. Both offer multiple levels of white LED goodness, as well as a red option which saves one's night vision. Overall satisfied with both purchases, other than the fact that immediately after my purchase the FreeFly went on sale for a good bit less than I paid. Such is life. The primary reason for writing this review is that I found the customer service experience to be outstanding. Immediate response on a holiday weekend to kind of a dumb question. I think this is an outfit worth supporting.

The working unit is great for lightweight travel
Bought two. REMOVE THE BATTERY PROTECTOR WHEN YOU GET IT.One was defective in that it would never stop "charging" (blinks when plugged in and charging, then solid when done). This resulted in the defective unit getting overcharged (multimeter showed battery topped up over capacity and device was still trying to charge itself, blinking away). The working unit is great for lightweight travel. Decent light output & like the multiple modes
