Dope Turtle - HALF SHELL: Premium UV Protected Storage Jar and Smell Proof Herb Container (250ml) (White Seal)

I live in Connecticut where medical marijuana is legal and is also decriminalized, but most people don't find it socially acceptable.So hiding the smell is very important where I live (hopefully not for long). I searched and searched for a container that keeps the smell contained and keeps bud to its highest quality and came across this one. My first impression out of the box is that it is very heavy compared to other glass jars I've owned. I really love the thick black glass on this jar, the top is made up of some form of plastic which seems durable, but time will tell exactly how durable. I do see a lot of negative comments about the white label on the jar but I personally like it, I mean how can you not like the name Dope Turtle?! Overall I am very happy with my purchase, it accomplished my main concern which is hiding the smell. The jar is nice, I find that the half shell holds well over half an ounce of herbs. The glass seems high quality and the jar does prevent any smell from escaping, appearing to be air-tight. My only complaint is the same as most of the other people's complaints, the lid. While it is functional, it feels and looks cheap. The plastic picks up fingerprints like crazy unlike the glass and I'm constantly wiping it off so it doesn't look bad. The lid also scratches very easily. Its mostly been just sitting on my desk but somehow in the course of regular use it is covered with tiny little scratches. I would have gladly paid more to have a lid similar in quality to the jar, I would even gladly pay right now to purchase a glass lid from them that would be compatible. I'd recommend the product if you don't mind these things but I think if I could go back and not order this I would go with an all glass solution.

The first jar I received, the plastic lid arrived cracked. Company sent me a replacement the following day. Impressive.Quality feels legit. Wish it wasn't a plastic lid but truthfully I was unable to find a glass jar WITHOUT a plastic lid.So far, I love the product. Smell proof. Heavy duty. The logo on the front is not a removable sticker/decal and it isn't chinsey. It's like an iridescent white logo that appears to be securely lacquered on. I think it looks professionally etched. I love it.

First of all, this jar is one of the best I have owned so far. It protects your herb from any sort of damaging light which keeps it at the ultimate freshness. The jar itself is made of a thick glass material. The only issue I have found is with the lid of the jar. The lid is made of plastic so if you drop your jar, the lid will probably crack on impact. I have dropped two jars and both of the lids broke around the sides. The jars did not have any damage at all, so they just don’t have lids anymore. If this jar had a more durable lid it would be a 5-Star product.

First off, I paid full price for the Dope Turtle Half shell. I am mostly impressed with the quality of this jar, the glass is thick and the size is perfect for my needs. As far as smell proofing goes, I'd say it eliminates 98 percent of herb smells, as I'm still able to smell the contents up close to the jar. My biggest problem is the lid. I wish it was a more durable material like glass. My lid arrived with scratches on the top and it is very susceptible to more scratches or gouges. The lid also doesn't screw on straight on the jar I received. For twenty dollars, I'd expect better quality. For these issues I am docking a star, otherwise it is a nice and useful product.

Amazon did perfect on filling my order and it came before it was supposed to DUDE I friggin broke the lid right when I got itI was stretching and it fell on the ground but only a piece of it broke.It is still smell proof. I put roaches in it and you cant smell.You can fit over a half ounce in this easily. I bought 14 grams at med men in west Hollywood and put the whole thing in and had prolly at least an eighth left to fill. this thing is filthy man. comes with a sinch bag and is 100% smell proof.I had a gram dabs in thisa half ounce of SFV OGA quarter ounce of BLACK DOMINA4- 5 pre rolled roaches for about 12 hours100% SMELL PROOF

The jar is great and the lid, while plastic, is ok and does lightly seal tight. However for this size jar (250 ml) the lid is too thin to last long. The lid on the 100 ml jar is plastic as well but not as thin and seems more durable. I do like the jar and will use it until the lid inevitably cracks. I don't mind that it is plastic just want it to be a bit thicker.

The lid WILL break if you drop this on almost anything other than carpet. This has happened to me twice.The jar itself is good quality glass; the seal between it and the lid keeps the contents fresh and the environment odorless.Customer service is absolutely exceptional. I couldn't purchase the lid by itself, so I emailed the company, and they sent me a replacement lid.The only reason there aren't 5 stars is because TWO lids have broken.I look forward to seeing a slightly improved lid, and when it's available, I'll be happy to buy two of them!
