BEST Quality Filters Out There!
I've purchased probably 15 different brands of pm 2.5 filters in the past year, so I have several types to compare. These are by FAR the thickest, best quality, effective filters I've seen yet!The difference is SO notable that I can tell them from the other brands I've bought despite being mixed together in a bag! Both my son and I wear Graf Lantz masks exclusively and these filters fit perfectly without compromising breathability or comfort. All 5 layers are exactly as they should be. No thin or see through areas. Each layer is thicker than other brands as well as the outer woven sides. No more shopping around, I'm sticking with these filters!Highly recommended!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

For rigid masks
I’ve tried it out a couple of times with different masks and depending on such, I either hate it or love it. The filters are relatively small compared to my masks so I have no issue actually using/putting them in. The major drawback for me to use these however is the fact that it only works well for more “rigid” masks that hold their shape. As it is a filter meant to stop majority of particles, it does impede air flow more so than without. So when the filter is worn with a more elastic mask, I’ve noticed that I end up sucking the inner layer of the mask when I try to breathe and thus can’t- which then renders it useless. They do work well with my more rigid masks however, I don’t have an issue with being able to breathe properly at all. As far as actually blocking pathogens I can’t really test that out, but I would assume it says what it does.

A Great Addition to Reusable Masks
These are a great addition to your reusable masks. These days, most people have reusable masks which is a great way to stay safe. Many of these masks have slots for adding filters and that's where these babies come in. The filter is definitely a nice safety addition. Living in California where we have wildfires, using this filter gives me an additional feeling of safety knowing it's filtering some of the contaminants in the air. Even if your mask doesn't have a filter slot, you can still manage to use these, just place the filter between the mask and your face and secure your mask as usual. The filter will stay in place. I personally change the filter once a week. Or If I'm working in an area where there is a lot of dust, I'll replace it sooner than this. Overall I didn't notice any difficulty with air flow for breathing through the filter.

Good value & protection if you can handle the heat
The pads look like they are well made and are a good value. I have no way to measure effectiveness but it is likely the are good filters. They don’t make it much harder to inhale. The only drawback, which they share with other very similar pads I tested, is that they retain more exhaled air in the mask which makes the masks warmer and more moist than without a filter. Thus it is uncomfortable to wear for long if the ambient temperature is above about 72 degrees F.

Excellent Disposable Mask Filters
Maxboost's Disposable Mask Filters are almost essential in these trying times. If you have a "vented" face mask, you need to put in a filter, as most "vents" just open to the interior lining, and therefore the mask doesn't add much protection without an additional filter. The filter has layers of non-woven fabric and an inter layer of activated carbon fabric. My vented masks have a pocket for the filter that holds it in place and ensures multi-layer protection, while still being easy enough to breath through. For extra protection, I also use the filters with cloth masks that don't have a filter pocket, but the filter usually stays in place if you fold it per the instructions. We've had a lot of smoky days due to wildfires, and I'm glad to have such good filter protection. And, they are very affordable.

Ok, better than I thought
These work ok I suppose, but the whole idea seems flawed. When inserted in a mask that has a pocket, this creates a blockage for air moving in or out. Some air / breath will pass through it, but much seems to go around it - out the sides, top or bottom of the mask, defeating the purpose of the filter.EDIT / UPDATE: The right cloth mask matters - used with a substantial cloth mask that holds its shape, these work well. I am using the masks to filter pollen and pollution, not only for COVID, so I do know right away when one fails.

Easy to use, seems to be effective. Exactly what I was expecting from this purchase.
With the new strains of Covid-19 being reported on and talk of improving your mask-wearing hygiene I decided it was time to investigate some filters as an option to stay safer with my cloth mask regimen. Luckily my best fitting masks have a pocket made for a filter and these filters fit nicely in that role. These filters don't add too much bulk and only slightly impact the contour of the mask when they are inserted. More importantly they don't seem to cause any negative impact to the overall fit of the masks. I'm not a doctor or a scientist so I can't speak to the effectiveness of these particular masks in stopping the virus, but in general from what I have read these filters should up the effectiveness of my existing masks sufficiently. Most importantly, they seem to boost the effectiveness without any significant downsides from what I can see, and they definitely don't get in the way of my mask wearing habits, which is the key (i.e. they don't add any extra frustration while inserted, so they won't dissuade me from my existing habits).I give these filter inserts a strong thumbs up.
