I have a broken kitchen cabinet drawer but only about 3/8” of space from the bottom of the drawer.** A: I believe you’re good **Q: Front of drawer is slightly bowed, causing bottom to slip out of its groove. Will this help straighten the wood via tightening and tension?** A: Not sure if it will straighten the bow out of the drawer front, but it will definitely hold the bottom in the groove so it doesn't fall and you'll be able to put what you want in the drawer and pull drawer in and out again. I used it on the top drawer of my desk when the bottom wouldn't stay in and works great. **Q: Can this be used to reinforce a sagging shelf in a book shelf?** A: Cannot be used to support book shelves unless a lip exists along the front to attached the other end of the bracket. Better to purchase a regular shelve bracket with a strong fillet at the joint. **Q: How long is the short screw?** A: The long screw is 3/8 inch from the end to the bottom of the head. The short screw is 3/16 inch from the end to the bottom of the head.
