Holy Moly, that art work though!
Holy moly, that art work! It’s staggering how amazing the creator of this book is. Every single panel is filled with incredible detail. No once steering away from the established art style.

Gorgeous and amazing
Another amazing and thrilling book by craig thompson. I absolutely adore all of his work and this one is definitly on par with the rest. Its large like half the size of Habibi. Definitly a need for craig thompson fans

Thompson does it again. Emotional yet fun, a touching story with gorgeous illustrations.
We LOVE this book. We're only halfway through, so I'll come back and edit when we've finished, but so far it is awesome. I've been reading it aloud with my 7 year old (hard to do, with a graphic novel!) He reads the sound effects and I read the dialogue. It's such an engaging story that my older kids (teens) have begun creeping up the stairs when they hear us reading, so that they can listen too. Before I'm done with each night's chapter, I've got three kids crowded around me to see the illustrations.Craig Thompson has such an evocative, emotive style that you truly empathize with the characters. I loved the deep emotions of Blankets and Habibi, and Space Dumpkins is no exception. Much more kid-friendly, obviously. If you're a fan of highly imaginative, edgy storylines with lots of laughs and action, like "Adventure Time", you will love Space Dumplins. It's written for grade schoolers, I'd guess a 4th-6th grade reading level, but all ages will enjoy it. The heroine is exactly what pop culture needs--a plucky young woman who relies on her inner strength, resilience, and love of her family and friends, rather than looks or physical prowess. Especially if you have a young daughter, niece, sister, granddaughter...BUY THIS BOOK!

Far from Thompson's best work, yet still head-and-shoulders above most other works in the genre.
Craig Thompson fills space with emotion. It's what he does - only now, it's Space. This is pretty awesome all-ages sci-fi, with all the heart of a good Disney-Pixar flick without the corporate aftertaste. I suppose this will have a wider appeal than Thompson's previous work, but it never lacks the intricate detail and above-and-beyond dedication that set his works in a class of their own.

Good book for kids
Entertaining book for the kids which they have reread many times. Only gripe is that some of pages were stuck together at the top as if they weren't cut properly. Had to cut the papers manually myself.

What's Not To Love?
What's not to love? Beautiful art, compelling characters, and a fun, interesting story. My only regret with Craig Thompson's books is that there is so much time between books. After all, it takes awhile to craft beauty like this...I repeat - what's not to love?

Great read
I wanted a graphic novel little more geared towards young girls and this was just eight. My 7 year old loved it. After finishing it she was desperate for more about the same characters.

Trabalho primoroso.
