After a lot of looking around, I feel like I finally found a good set (for a really good price) of sharpening stones. The little rubber holder and wood holder really make it easy when you place it on a flat surface (like a table or bench). The guide (still mastering it) really seems to help with the angle until you get the feel for yourself.

This kit is a good starting point, good value.I recently moved and left my stones behind. I was looking for something cheap, this fits the bill. It is an ALMOST complete set, if there was some polishing compound for the strop it would be better.The stones grit is off 3000/8000 are WAY coarser, 3000 eats through too much metal and 8000 does not leave the semi-polish I wanted. Nevertheless, if you know what you are doing this kit will get your knife razor sharp.The angle guide has too much wiggle room and will never be precise, could help people who are just getting into knife sharpening.The strop is not real leather but can't comment on the efficacy. I have not used yet as I will first look for a budget compound before putting my knifes though it.If you are on a budget this is a very effective kit. If you want quality save up for something better, it is quite a bit more expensive though.Would recommend.

The price was extremely right. It's a complete set, right down to the leather strop. The strop is the icing on the cake. It puts a fine finish hone on your blades that makes them so sharp you can shave with them with no effort at all. I have used it on all of the knives in my house. Kitchen knives, hunting knives, all of them. This set handled them all.

These stones definitely do the good . I sharpened my kitchen knives and now they don’t have a problem cutting a tomato! I definitely recommend these stones to you great buy and definitely affordable. The angle piece that goes on your blade is a perfect angle and the barber strap is a must .

The kit comes with a bunch of diffrent grindstones to start sharpening right away.What I really liked was the included instruction booklet, as well as - well, everything being included.I was surprized to find how sharpening is also very therapeutic. Solid kit overall, happy to have gotten it.

The wet stones work well. After making that the stones are flat. I tried sharpening a few kitchen knives to test. Sharpening went quickly, and my wife appreciated it.
