Sterile Tracheostomy Care Kit

This is a functional tracheostomy cleaning kit. It is super affordable. If you are in nursing school and need extra practice, I would encourage you to buy this kit. It has everything you need to clean a trach or practice the skill. It has pipe cleaners, sponges, gloves, trach and brush. The gloves are sterile gloves. I am using this kit in the nursing lab to demonstrate trach care.

I was skeptical about this initially, but after receiving it the material was sealed and appeared sterile. Not exactly familiar with the brand, but everything appears standard to what is generally used in hospitals. The items were all carefully packaged inside, and I checked to see if there was anything egregious in the packaging to indicate a possible lack of sterility, but couldn't find any problems. Seems to meet general quality standards that you would expect.

This is a great kit with a split gauze. Everything is sterile wrapped and ready to go. a must have for chest tube or trache care. Kit is complete and works great!

This is what you need in a kit of this kind. Feels made fine enough. No real complaints. But nothing exceptional to give it any amazing rating. But you want function for this, and nothing else, right?

This care kit has everything you might need for tracheostomy maintenance. The supplies are well organized and easy to use. It makes the whole process a lot smoother and less stressful.

Considering this is a maintenance care kit for a tracheotomy, the items should be a single use to prevent contamination and keeping everything clean. Having said that, it is fairly expensive for some sterile gauzes, pads and pipe cleaners.

I'm writing this review for a sterile trach kit. I received the kit and I had immediate concerns. There is no manufacture or expiration date on the package. It was well sealed though. Opens just like kits from the hospital do. But these kids are shipped individually from Amazon and can take quite the beating. This leads me to believe that they can lose sterility in transit. Most of the supplies in the kit are nothing to write home about. Cheapest materials possible and disposable. But I would be remiss if I didn't point out how awful the sterile gloves are. It's those awful cheap vinyl gloves that don't slide onto anyone's hand and are one size fits none. If you're buying this as a sterile kit I would recommend finding something else.
