Superb new line from Hults--a workhorse run at truly realistic costs
YAY! I have wanted a Hults Bruk axe for years, but never could justify the killer price bite mark of four or five hundred dollars. I mean, sure, they're awesome and pretty, but that's a month's paycheck. Then I saw a tiny spot review for this in one of the homesteading type magazines and got a crazy grin on my face. It was noted as being a full use axe for up to medium trees, with a lighter weight and shorter length that offers real usefulness to women and youth especially. (Though it would really be useful also to men whose age or physical condition makes a heavy long length no longer a wise option.) Which also makes it packable for extended trips, long term BOBs in colder climates, or for hauling around a homestead. So I popped onto Amazon and saw it was on sale for even less than the about a hundred bucks it was noted at in the review. SOLD.This baby is awesome. Sure, this isn't the pretty high priced one, it is the solid working horse one--and it is still made with worthy craftsmanship expected of the Hults Bruk name. It came with a quality sheath and was boxed incredibly. Everyone in our household loves it--it fits a range of body types and strength differences, while still letting us do 'real' work.Check out all the other models in this workhorse line to find the head weight, shaping, and axe length that best suits what you intend to use it for.

Reeeaally Niiiice Axe
Wow What a great axe, Feels like you can chop home runs with this thing all day. I don't do reviews often but this thing is Perfect for my 6' 175lbs. I own many Wetterlings and a few Gransfors etc and, though probably just luck of the draw, this Hulkts-Bruk came with tighter fit and finish than ANY of those Came in its own box, and nar a splinter ANYwhere on the perfectly fit head etcetc. Mine is Gorgeous. I wouldn't expect to ever receive a second with such a tight finish, For my money ($84) it's as comfortable and dandy of a chopper as any of my others. The wider handle suits me fine (Swedish handles are just too thin sometimes), as does the wider head, which is not too heavy, and quite pretty. Hell, the sheath design is great too. Swinging it is a pleasure. Just a beautiful tool.

Excellent light axe
This is a terrific axe, well-worth 99$. I use this axe for working in the woods. It's light enough to use with one hand and short enough to be effective in cramped conditions. You can fell any tree you like with this, but it's best for medium-to-small trees. It's similar to the Gransfors Bruks Scandinavian Forest Axe. The Gransfors I have is a tad lighter and easier to use with one hand, but the Hults is a better for felling because the head is less flared and delivers a more powerful strike. I use both axes but right now I like the Hults best. No question this is a great axe.

it’s FANTASTIC. HIGH QUALITY fit and finish
I needed to buy an axe again and wasn’t about to buy one made in China at the local big box hardware store. So I did some research and found nothing but rave reviews for Swedish made axe company Gransfors Bruks. Price was a bit high in those, so thankfully, I found Hutls-Bruk. I already have a couple of Swedish knives, so was confident in the purchase.Long story short, it’s FANTASTIC. HIGH QUALITY fit and finish. Super sharp out of the box.I’ve already split a good amount of wood with it. Couldn’t be more happy with this axe.Getting the hatchet next :)Also seller was fast and as specified.

Let me axe you a question!
What an amazing piece of art for any man (or woman)! Its beautiful, gracefully balanced, and feels like it would kill plenty of zombies. Splits wood like a dream and the 1.75lb head is effortless yet extremely efficient. Comes with a cool little book about the company and care instructions from sharpening to handle replacement. For all those that say that the head came loose...did you happen to hit the back of the head with anything at all? Another log, hammer, axe, or flipped the axe and used it to pound anything in? If so you should be stripped of your axe and handed a broom...the axe is not a hammer unless its a sledge axe and you will damage your head eye resulting in a loose fit...nice job.

A bit disappointing
This axe looks great quality and it is. But not in build. After two days of heavy but careful use, the axe head would pop out half way out and I had to hammer it back in place every time I finished. It never came off but that is unacceptable in an axe that clams to be of high quality, also the grain aligment on the handle could be better. Steel is great tho, and holds an edge better than any other lower end axe, but it seems its not meant to take heavy use as it has bent a little and I have to sharpen it more than I expected. I chop wood almost daily for about 1 hour and it seems the axe will not last me even a year

Awesome tool at a great value
Ive had this axe for well over a year, since Jan 2019. Its go to for processing wood. Great value and awesome quality. Very lightweight - just about 2 pounds. Comes razor sharp and holds an edge for weeks, even with daily use. And should the blade dull or get dinged up, its easy to sharpen. Great axe!
