UPDATE - Jan 2014Mat is still wonderful - Especially love that it folds up with the side that was one the floor never touching the front side!I had originally purchased this mat in the summer of 2012 for a trip. The original bag that came with it broke. Khataland offered to replace the original bag with the new "Eco-Friendly" mesh bag. The new bag is great. It fits the mat snugly (took me a minute to get it in and out the first time, but now it's easy to move). I like the nice handle - makes it easy to carry around and carry to class. I also like that it's mesh, so air can come in and out (especially after sweating!).I also use the mat in the bag as a nice meditation perch. Just high enough and wide enough that it's almost like a small meditation bench.Thanks again to the company for wonderful customer service!OLD REVIEW:I would give the mat 5 stars and the bag 1 star if I good.The bag was cheap plastic. Because the mat would catch on the plastic, the bag broke the first time I tried to put the mat back in it.The mat, however, is quality. I took it for a summer spent overseas, and it packed neatly into a square space. In retrospect, I wish I had gotten the smaller version, because suitcase real estate is precious for overseas flights! However, I like the mat. It has good grip for my yoga poses. Additionally, I will use it when it is folded as a meditation seat - it's comfortable to sit on for long periods of time, and just the right height for meditation.

This is a very nice yoga mat. It folds up and stores in a bag.If the rubber smell of some yoga mats bothers you, this would be a good choice. It is completely unscented.This is a thicker model than the YoFoMat travel mat.Nice cushioning, sticky.It is a little narrower than a standard yoga mat, but not by much.The blue color is very nice.

This is a great mat! I wanted something that was thick but not too thick and this is perfect. It folds easily and quickly. I use it for my Body Pump and Body Flow classes and it travels well. It's not lightweight but I'm ok with that. Also, I purchased it on Amazon and it wasnt' actually from Khataland. When I received it, the zipper was broken on the carry case. I contacted Khataland directly and with no questions, they replaced it for me, free of charge. Hands down excellent customer service. I will definitely be purchasing more of their products.

This is my new review after using the mat for about three weeks, mainly for Iyengar classes, so no harsh jumping or excessive sweating.The bag started falling apart when I first opened the mat. By now half that seam is already open and tearing further with every use.The mat itself is disappointing. It was so promising: I liked the fact that it is light weight and foldable, loved the lines for alignment and it seemed thick enough for my practice. I got tired of carrying my thick rubber mat which has provided me with years of excellent padding and non-slippery surface. Well, I guess I'll have to put up with the weight and the bulky rolled mat because the YoFoMat doesn't work.Cons:1. After only three weeks of use it is already disintegrating: there are small tears all over.2. It looks ultra thick, but it not High Density as promised in the description, so it does NOT provide much support. It shrinks under my weight (127lbs), even when I'm on four, so I need a blanket for padding under my knees or shins or both, which I don't need with my heavy rubber mat.3. It is slippery. Certainly not non-skid as advertised.The manufacturer claims on the product page that this is "High Performance" "yoga mat for professional yoga and Pilates practice anywhere". However, the answer to one of the bad reviews is that it is only a "travel mat", and is not meant for daily use. This info is no-where to be found on the description page. Just because it comes with "travel bag" doesn't make it a travel-only mat.To summarize: I find the claim that this mat is "Eco Friendly" to be grossly misleading, since these mats are going to pile up in landfills faster than most others. Being produced with non-toxic materials is not enough to be called "Eco Friendly".And just out of curiosity, what does the manufacturer mean when they write that it comes with "Ergonomic Design" travel case? What so "ergonomic" about this square bag with handles?I have to mention Amazon's excellent customer service. I called a week after my return window ended, and they extended it and allowed me to return the mat, even after I mentioned that it is already used. Thank you Amazon.

Yoga mat was always, always a problem for me when I travelled. I used to order one prior to arrival and then discard when leaving - I don't have this problem anymore! What a fantastic product! It folds neatly and very easily, no strange smell, not heavy, just as the size of a coffee table book, you can definitely pack it in your suitcase no problem. As for the "ultra thick" part, it's only ultra thick compared to other folding travel mat in the market, I would say you would need this thickness if you do any stretching on your spine, it is good. Non slippery. I am thinking of ordering the pro version to use it at home, you don't have the problem of mat curling up after unrolling it. In conclusion, if you want to take your own yoga mat with you when you are traveling, this is the one to buy!

This item was very nice and comfortable to work out on. I love the way it folds up and how lightweight it is. My only issue is that once folded up, it doesn't fit neatly or easily back into the carrying case. If that case were just a 1/4 inch larger all the way around, the item would have gotten five stars. I especially like fact that the mat stays put on the floor.

Living in a van, space is premium. This mat is a great thickness and packs away perfectly. Been using 3x/wk for 3 months outdoors. No issues.
