I have tried to go the cheap route when using lighting during paint correction and coating applications only to be frustrated by the battery life, actual light output, and inability to select a different color temperature. This tool is well worth every penny. I have found that different color temperatures, this tool has 5 to choose from, will highlight different defects on each paint color. Not only is it superb for finding paint defects and high spots during coating installations, but it's also an amazing work light in general. With respect to the light output, it does not dim over time as other battery-powered lights do. It takes 4 hours to fully charge, but it lasts a long time on the low setting which is plenty in most situations. When correcting paint, I typically set the light back in the charging harness in between inspections anyway, so I never worry about running out of battery. Overall, I highly recommend this product to detailers especially, but also for anyone looking for a durable, high output light when working.
