I repeat the areas of the story that you Can't save are pretty large sections (5 or more hours of play)
Very hard to play for short periods of time because there are large spaces of game play that do Not allow you to save your progress, if you leave the game you will be pushed back to an allowed save point. No where does it tell you that it does this but it does. Very frustrating to play for 2 or more hours, making strides/advances and lose it all because you're in a section of story line that does Not allow you to "SAVE" your game. I repeat the areas of the story that you Can't save are pretty large sections (5 or more hours of play). Other than that there were a few puzzles that were quite difficult to solve (who would think to watch the moves Fez makes while mixing designated drinks, memorize them and wait until later to use the information).I did enjoy the characters and the problem solving you had to do throughout the game.

A Great Point and Click Puzzle Adventure Game
I waited to pick this up because the Wii U version second hand was so expensive it was absurd. I finally got this on XBOX One and I am glad I did. If you are a fan of old Lucas Arts point and click adventures like I am ( Monkey Island, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Full Throttle) you will enjoy this game. It is family friendly and fun to problem solve. The art is very enjoyable. This gaming experience might not be for everyone, but it is a welcome difference from most stuff that comes out now.

SAVE FUNCTION BREAKS ON SECOND CHARACTER SCENE!!!!!!!!!
I absolutely LOVE this game, BUT I cannot save the game AND the auto-save BREAKS during the second character's play through! NOOOOO!!! I will probably have to RETURN this game unless they push and update SOON, because it is so tempting to continue just to play, which causes a HUGE ANGER SESSION when I have to lose my progress....It is SO very unfortunate because I played for like 3-4 hours straight through and then when I turned the game back on, ALL OF MY PROGRESS WAS LOST!!!!!!!!!!! because the save function does not work. So, if you plan on sitting through the ENTIRE story, or suspending your game and not turning the console off ever, than do not buy it on this platform until they FIX THE ISSUE!.

Good game but cannot save
The game is pretty fun and I am having a good time figuring out the puzzles but like others have stated once you make it past the library scene in the game you can no longer save. This is a huge bug that still has not been fixed and the maker of the game seems to be ignoring. As it stands I don't have hours upon hours to play this game in one sitting nor do I want to leave my WII on just so I do not lose progress.

No save feature
Wanted to like this game. Not many good adventure games for wii/wiiu. 1st part was good. 2nd part was frustrating without a save feature. Takes hours to finish this section. The 3rd time thru the save feature was working. But when I got to the next part it didn’t work again. Game is headed for the trash bin.

Meh
The dialogue in the game is funny enough, but by itself, it isn't enough to keep my attention. Little to no explanation on how to actually play the game, and there is little to no direction for what to do when playing (which I normally like). You will miss a lot of stuff you can do in the game if you do not look up a guide. I would give it two stars, but it has just enough to keep me playing when I have absolutely nothing else to do.

Disappointed that save function doesnt work
I really liked the game, but the fact that I can't save the game and auto-save stops working pretty early on in the game is a disappointment. It's unfortunate too because I was really into the game, I played for 2 hours straight and lost all of that progress because the save function doesnt work. Unless you plan on sitting in one place and completing this entire game in one sitting because you can't save, then you might want something else.

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 = Point 'n Click Goodness
This game is excellent for those who have had a hankering for an old-school point 'n click adventure game. The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 consists of challenging puzzles, humorous dialog/story writing, fairly beautiful level/background designs, and several hilarious easter egg moments scattered across the game (example: a Game of Thrones style introduction scene). However, with everything the game does right, it does have a few problems which may (or may not) negatively affect someone's enjoyment of the game...These negatives are: 1) Mechanical mouth movements (i.e. audio does not synch with character speech). 2) If you haven't played the first game (which was only on PC) then you may be lost at the beginning of the game as to how the characters know each other, why they are in the places that they find themselves in, etc. 3) If you haven't played a point 'n click adventure before then it might take you a moment to pick up the control scheme (even though the games intro contains a walkthrough, it is very short).Okay, well, I've said my peace.I hope you enjoy the game as much as I have, if you've decided to buy it.Cheers!
