PayPal M010USDCRT Chip Card Reader

I use this for my vendor booth at conventions and it works quite well. Worth the extra money to get this one. they also make a charging cradle that allows you to use it like a traditional POS Card reader on a post if you want. I dont know how well the battery will last I keep it plugged into a micro usb until its time to use it.

It worked great, until it stopped. Even though I was careful with it, and didn't use it that much, it has stopped working and it's not even 2 years old. It has the error message "Damage to reader detected. Contact Paypal for assistance." I called & they said it's past it's warranty, so I need to buy a new one. I paid $194 for it--it should last longer that 2 years.

Easy to link and use. No issues with this product. Works well. Using a chip reader instead of swiping cards allows my money to be released by PayPal sooner. They have holds on swiped transactions

With all the updates it does everyday, the long charge time where you cant use it right away when its completely dead even with the power connected and the fact that you cant process debit transactions only signature, it sometimes is unusable. Replaced with another merchant system.

Works really well! Super easy to set up and use. Battery is long lasting. No issues at all. Love it!

It works fine and the design is great, but the build quality it very questionable. If I shake it it rattles, and feels like if I stick it in my messenger bag it will get smashed to pieces if I brush up against something. I was expecting something much more solid for the price.

For $75 from a company like PayPal oh, I was expecting this device to work well and function easily. Unfortunately that was not the case. I have had two of these devices for 9 months. While they don't have a problem hooking up to Bluetooth or a problem with the functioning of the device, the battery life is very poor and the on and off switch system is gives me a headache. It doesn't turn off and on with every push of the button. It may take three or four or even ten times of pushing the button to get it to turn on. I have to go through the same process in order to get it to shut off. I try holding them shorter amount of time longer amounts of time and the only thing that I can come up with is that it's just hit and miss.
