LOVE this!!
This little tent is very versatile. It was exactly what I was looking for to add to my car camping gear. It can be set up almost anywhere, tilted for maximum shade or privacy protection. Fairly easy to put up. I only had trouble with the poles because I was camping alone and could have used an extra pair of hands but I'm sure I'll figure that part out too. Overall, I give this a 5star rating because it met my expectations and then some. Was actually larger than I imagined which turned out to be perfect for my needs.

Get what you pay for?
Material protects against rain and sun. Both pole sets (frame and mounting) are cheap. The mounting poles that go from ground to corner of tarp are individual sections with no string inside to hold them together at length. this allows each pole to be set at its own height. The friction clip inside these is cheap and will let go of bottom poles if you lift one of the sections in the middle. The window needs to be rolled and tied up. I wish this was zippered and had the loop and grommet for quick tie up. The fiberglass poles that create the frame are cheap and splinter. I have upgraded all the poles to more quality aftermarket ones. After that cost, could have bought a more quality canopy.

Impossible for one person to put up
Three of us had to thread the support pieces through the canvas. Areas were sown very tight making it almost impossible to thread the pokes through. A mild breeze flipped the entire done up like a sail, flipping it over the car. Don’t waste your money

After use- its a kite...Just received
Well it makes a great shade, if you can keep it secured, but it kept taking flight. Not sure I will use it again, more trouble than its worth.I got this to use at a music festival. After receiving it I tested putting it up. Not difficult to put together, but no real instructions, just pictures. I'm not sure yet how it will work. More to come!

Passed the wind test on the first outing!
The wind was gusting up to 30 mph yesterday, so it was a good day to test our windshelter, with a picnic in our favorite local park. If you have experience with shockcord poles and tents, this will be easy to assemble. Remember to push, don't pull, the poles through the tunnels. The two long tent poles go over the top, and the short one, across the middle underneath. One end of each of the long poles will fit in the small pocket, leaving you tab with a hole for a stake, the other through the hole on the tab, leaving a hole for a support poleIt fit perfectly over the picnic table. Since we have a burn ban prohibiting charcoal fires, this shelter made it easy to start a fire in my "alcohol stove", aka terra cotta Portuguese Sausage roaster, and provided a lovely place for us to sit, protected from the wind. The fabric is lightweight, but durable, unless you do some doofus thing like poke it with a sharp object. The tie downs are sufficient for the job. You may want to get better stakes, though even the best won't go through desert caliche. We ended up tying our shelter off to a Joshua Tree, a creosote bush, our car, and a standing grill.

Very Nice for the Price (UPDATE: Poles shattered as predicted, but much sooner than expected)
This is more than I expected for the price I paid. I've seen other reviews that complain about how it blows around in the wind; what do you expect? You've basically attached a giant umbrella to your vehicle. Some complaints about the sturdiness are expected; it's made cheap so you get it cheap. Pros: versatile (can raise and lower it as needed for different purposes). It works as a shade awning when raised and as a kind of open-air add-on room when lowered. You can add and remove pole sections to adjust it to the height you need. Spacious when opened and compact when packed, and everything fits back in the bag easily.Cons: While it's a great value, it would be nice if the materials were a little higher quality. The frame poles probably won't last a really long time (UPDATE: ONLY LASTED FOR THREE USES), and I can imagine they will start splitting eventually (UPDATE: THEY DID ON THE THIRD USE). The fabric is pretty thin, but sufficient. It will probably tear pretty easily, so you will have to be gentle when setting up and tearing down. The support poles and guy lines are great: better than expected. The window seems like it will be pretty useful, but I haven't really used it yet.Overall, I'd recommend it as long as you know its limitations.UPDATE: POLES SHATTERED AFTER THIRD USE. My first review said it was a good value; that was assuming that it would last for more than three trips.

Very happy with this
I went camping by myself and was very happy with this sun shade. I'm 65 years old and I could assemble it by myself although there were a few struggles with the tension when bending the poles into place. The suction cups that were on the upper part of the van kept releasing. But no worries I just tied it down to some other item on my van. I did not use the extension poles to raise the foot end of the shade up. I wanted to use the shade like this because it provides more privacy and protection from the rain. Some of the reviews I read on this said they had parts missing or something on the shade broke the first time they used it. I did not have any of these issues. I also read where people had complaints about the tension poles and how they were made. But in my experience these tension poles are exactly like any other tent that I've set up. When sliding tension poles through the material you have to take your time and be careful because, yes the poles will snag the material, but as I stated any other tent that I've tried to set up was the same situation. PUSH the poles through the material and un-bunch the material sleeve as needed before you keep pushing the pole. It was also easy to take down and put back in the bag. Where I was camping at the stakes worked fine. But I can see if it was a windy location that I would need more sturdier grabbing stakes. I did add a tie outline on both sides of the roof just in case a wind did come up. I simply hooked the line to the pole that's provided for the shade roof. So at this point I am very happy with my purchase and the sales price was right on point.
