Bitcoin Decoded

I have been curious about bitcoins for about the last year, but I could never get a decent understanding of what they were and how they worked. Googling the topic just wasn't working. Bitcoin Decoded really did decode the mystery surrounding bitcoins. Now I understand what they are, how they work, how to get them, how to use them personally and in business, and how to invest in them. The authors provided a clear discussion of bitcoins and included lots of helpful tips and pitfalls to avoid. That's a lot of information packed into a short easy-to-read book. I recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about bitcoins!

This is a decent basic intro to the cryptocurrencies but there is certainly so much more behind the scenes and potentials. This is a "how to" book. Plent of links and resources for further research.

I found it to be a good starting guide for people like myself, who needed to get a better grasp of what bitcoin is. Since things in the bitcoin market move so fast, this book is a bit outdated, with references to the now defunct Mt.Gox for example. Still, I thought it to be an excellent starting point for a novice like myself

Should be called a pamphlet. Spends a large percentage of the few pages telling how smart the writers are and hardly any meat in the matter. Wish I could give it back.

The Bitcoin phenomena is worldwide. And, many governments don't want a market driven money system. The Chinese have stated their position by threats to its citizens trying to use it as currency. The US is more sophisticated so any effort to derail its use will certainly prove its REAL worth is a threat to fiat money printed by most governments including the US.It could become a world currency, and that is very interesting. Apple removed its App to help using Bitcoin, and a good guess would be because the Apple products are made in China.

This book is a summary of Bitcoin and you DO NOT have to pay money for this as it is available for FREE from many of the top online news. It does not dive into the technical aspects of the currency such as encryption used, value assignment, miner payoffs, and how to regulate the currency which is what I was hoping to get out of this book. BAD purchase for me, but if you like to read from authors who have a clear conflict of interest, by all means read this book which glorifies the currency. I say these authors have a conflict of interest because of a note on one of the pages; yet they don't disclose how much of the currency they have.

Very good book for the uninitiated. Format has shaded hyperlinks that obviously only work on the Kindle version. Should omit this for the printed book. Shameless self promotion for their website sprinkled all over the place. Would be kind of cheesy if you did not venture to have a look. Overall very happy with this for my first look into the Bitcoin world.

Good bit coin primer. Easy to read and very clear. Makes you want to start mining. Highly recommend for folks who want to final get it

Its an easy to read book, from my perspective. The authors explain key concepts on the criptocurrencies and expose the basics.I would recommend the book to anyone that does not know anything about bitcoins. Its a good place to start for a reasonable price.Good basic references and online tools given. Also, the advice and recommendations are sound and clear for inexperienced people.Its a pity that in many parts of the book the authors seem to advertise their website too much. Nothing to say about the site.Also, advertising an specific alternate currency weakens the credibility of the authors. Maybe its not their intention but that's my first thought.

Pretty much basic stuff. I expected deeper insights. Decent for people that want a very basic introduction to the bitcoin world

Reading this book has improved my knowledge of bitcoin on a basic level. However I am sure that I could have learned this from a google search. The book conveniently brings this information together to save scouring the internet.Some repetition in places but generally an interesting read. The book is aimed at the basic concepts of bitcoin so don't expect to become an expert by reading it.

I like most people had heard of Bitcoins, and had a vague idea of what they were. This book was a great education for me, and certainly cleared up many mysteries for me. However, as good as that was, it still felt like a long infomercial to use the Author's services to learn even more. Thank you for a informative read.

Not the best quality book out there, but it serves the purpose of making the bitcoin simple enough to get a foothold in the movement.
