HHIP3/16-3/4 INCH JT3 DRILL CHUCK WITH KEY (3700-0108)

Purchased this chuck with key to replace original one serviced with my Delta 11-985 after the chuck key was lost, Delta had a specific key which was discontinued, Delta replacement chuck with key was $67 plus shipping, so $80 not worth putting into a $129 drill press, I reluctantly bought this and and was very surprised, fit/finish very good, just make sure drill press shaft is cleaned with emery cloth first, retract/open chuck all the way then slide onto th3 shaft then hit hard with rubber mallet 2-3 times and it’s set, no noticeable wobble, very pleased with product. Also ordered spare chuck key just in case kids loose another one.

This drill chuck is made from high accuracy machined parts not like the OEM chuck on my lower cost drill press. It runs quiet and true without any annoying obvious wobble. I suppose it will make a vast improvement to most low cost drill presses for a modest cost. I guess I wont be needing a new drill press for a while now. Sorry Santa!

Bought this to replace the crappy chuck on my Harbor Freight bench-top drill press. This chuck's a lot bigger and beefier looking than the stock Harbor Freight one but still takes the same size bits (up to 1/2"). Fit the taper just fine and works well. I use the drill press for woodworking so I'm not concerned about thousandths of inches and didn't bother to check it for runout. It works nicely for what I wanted it for and is as true or better than the stock chuck I replaced. And the price was decent.

This is a solid, well made, very robust chuck. It perfectly fits my old Craftsman drill press with tapered J33 mount. Works great with no slippage of my drill bits, down to 1/16"....It is supposed to fit down to 1/32" bits. This is a welcome result compared to my old, worn out chuck. Great deal for the price.

I bought this to replace the factory original on a small delta drill press I bought used.....a lot. I had a major run out problem with the original chuck and installation of this unit greatly improved the drill press's performance. I would recommend as a good buy for a middle of the road price point chuck.

This chuck surprised me. From other reviews I wasn't sure if I would like it. It is a little large but I am using it on a 10" drill press and it has plenty of power to spin it. Run-out is about .004 T.I.R., you can't beat that for $18.00. Did not see the need to spend twice that for their precision one. The gripping power is terrific, very little torque on chuck key and nothing is going to slip. I am going to buy another for my larger machine.

I arefully welded thischuck onto a threaded collar on a vintage 27 inch Craftsman drill press that was given to me. I've laid the drill press on this back and made some modifications, and after making my own lathe tools, I now have a pretty sweet wood lathe that only costed me what I paid for the chuck. Now THAT'S value.

Works great, fit my drill press perfectly. Came on time and well packaged. Included a new key which was great.

Purchased as a replacement chuck for an old MM drill press. Chuck better than the original ever was. No probs.

A neighbour put a used drill press out for the garbage. It was fine except that it did not have a chuck. I checked Amazon and found this one at a great price. I made a guess as to the taper (JT33) and I was right! It was a perfect fit and the press works. As a bonus --- the chuck will take larger bits that the original!!!!

THE CHUCK WAS BETTER QUALITY THAN THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER'S & CAME PRELUBRICATED & IN A PLASTIC BAG WITH THE CHUCK KEY (KEYLESS CHUCKS TEND TO BE OK FOR LIGHT LOADS BUT WHEN USING LARGER BITS & HEAVIER LOADS THEY OFTEN RESULT IN THE DRILL SHANK COMING LOOSE IN THE CHUCK JAWS CAUSING SCORING ON THE SHANK WHEREAS THE KEYED CHUCK SELDOM HAS THIS PROBLEM. IT'S A TRADE OFF ; FASTER BIT CHANGES WITH THE KEYLESS CHUCK VERSUS TIGHTER GRIP ON THE BIT WITH THE KEYED CHUCK.

Could not find locally at all. Glad i trusted AMAZON to share a quality product. Now my old Drill Press has NEW LIFE. Thank You

By the picture it looks smaller than my old one. But not so just as large as the one I took off.
