FUN and challenging, UNIQUE game!
Rumis is a great game for all ages...at least I can claim that in our house the age range is from 11 to 75 and everyone enjoys the challenge. It is easy to learn and follow, yet it has varying degrees of difficulty and no two games will be the same.Building a three-dimensional block with rules for height and width, each player uses numerous odd-shaped blocks to be the one with the most points when you reach the top. There is not only strategy in conforming to the chosen design but in covering your opponents. It is a very three-dimensional game, played on a turn table and changing at every angle with each turn so it keeps you thinking and rethinking your next move. Games go pretty quickly and can be modified to be easier or more difficult depending on who is playing. We love Blokus and this is one step upwards. Check out this new twist and I bet you will enjoy it!

Rumis it terrific for all ages . . . fun for adults to play with their kids.
A really fun and challenging game for all ages. I played with my 9 year old boys, their father and we all enjoyed the challenge - and played a number of games, each different according to the various game cards than can be selected. No game is the same and the scoring makes it hard to know the winner until it is nearly over. Strategy and critical thinking are required. Really excellent and worth the rather high price as I think it is a game the will enjoy for many years.

Great Mind Game for the Family
I played this game at a work related meeting. It was a lot of fun - so I ordered it that day on Amazon.comIt is a hit with the family. The game really tests the players "spacial" thinking ability. If you like "Blockus" - this is like a 3-D version of that. The different platforms to build (Tower, Wall, Pyramid, and Stairs) adds a great variety. You can sit and play a lot of games - or a quick game if you don't have a lot of time.

deserves all the praise
For such a simple concept, what a fantastic game! It keeps everyone entertained for a solid evening, from youngsters to intellectually-minded adults. You will quickly find yourself absorbed in tactics and strategy while playing this. If I had to gripe, I'd say the blocks are somewhat cheaply constructed and don't always fit flush with each other... which is sometimes a problem when you've got a pretty high tower built. But I won't dock a star for that. This deserves five stars.

Rumis Review by Dad's Gaming Addiction
Rumis: 2-4 Players, Ages 8+, Average Play Time = 15-30 MinutesIt wasn’t difficult for me to plow into this game, namely because it is so similar to “Convert”. “Convert” is a bit more limiting however in that it is solely a two player game and only features a 4×4 grid. “Rumis” offers a lot more, what with three double-sided playing boards featuring various building plans. Staying within the perimeter was a challenge in some cases and really made me think about what pieces would best fit where at that current point in time. Not having played “Blokus 3D”, I couldn’t ethically compare the two…though in looking at the pictures on Amazon alone, “Rumis” seems to have a bit more theme. “Blokus 3D’s” components look pretty bland (dull gray base, etc.), for example, whereas “Rumis’s ” components capture the whole “Incan” setting pretty nicely. Obviously, some gamers may prefer one over the other for various factual and personal reasons.“Rumis” is indeed a fun and engaging abstract block-laying game, replacing “Convert” as my go-to indulgence for when I need a quick “Tetris” fix. It encourages critical thinking like most abstract games are wont to do, which is always a plus (especially if you have kids). Games don’t take that long to play, though your mileage may vary depending on how long players in your group tend to ponder over their next move. Two player games can admittedly be too short, though there’s a variant in the manual that allows both players to use two sets of pieces each. To top that off, “Rumis” is appropriate for players of most ages making it a staple family game. My only complaint is that the pieces tend to slide around a bit, but most block-building abstract games (at least the ones I’ve played) suffer the same problem. All in all, “Rumis” is most certainly a keeper.
