How to use this from a professional
I am a licensed cosmetologist, a colorist, and here’s what I’ve learned about adore hair dye. I’ve used this product many many MANY times in many many MANY ways on myself and on clients. I like it better than some professional products. Recently, I used the color mocha to tone my hair. I had colored it neon yellow months ago. It’s turned weird and It was time to tone it down. I was going for 7N…that’s basically dark blonde/light brown…ish. The mocha was actually green toned but I’ve only seen it red toned. So that was weird. I’m glad about it tho because I was worried it would come out too warm because of my already yellow undertones. I put almost a full bottle in a bowl of water, stirred it, put my dry hair in pig tails and dunked each pig tail in for 10 seconds and washed my hair. That’s how you get a small change…unless you’re pale cool light blonde. Be careful and don’t use colors with green undertones (darkest brown) on very pale light blonde hair unless you’re using a punky green to achieve green hair. If you’re blonde or ashy and want dark brown hair, add copper to your hair first. dark Green cancels out warmth like red and orange. Use the color darkest brown to kill warmth….that’s why it’s green. Use it on warmer shaded of hair and you’ll get dark brown. If you put the product directly on damp hair and let it sit, your color will be more drastic. If you put it on dry hair it will really really take in a bold way and last longer. Use your color wheel and common sense. Mix shades and test them first. This dye is great for people with damaged hair! If box color isn’t grabbing because you’ve colored it to much…yeah you know who you are….adore is what you need to use. It will thicken and condition damaged hair. Some colors fade quicker than others. You can’t have it all. It will stain everything it touches instantly including your skin, sink, towels…When in doubt, strand test! You can not go lighter with this, only darker or brighter and different. It’s not the best for covering natural grey hair unless it’s been bleached. You’re best off using a permanent color because natural grey/white hair is resistant. Peroxide is needed to open that hair cuticle to let the color in. Keep this in mind, there’s a color scale from 1-10. 1 being black and 10 being light blond. Your hair took time to lift from 1 to 10 when you bleached it….yeah you know who you are. It went through stages of colors during that process. If you want your color to turn out right, not fade weird and last longer…consider coloring your hair first a shade between what you are now and what you want your final color to be. I see some people having problems with adore because they are skipping this step. This goes mostly for natural colors. I hope that makes sense and helps someone!😅

"green apple" glows under uv/black light!!!
so ive never been neon green before. i bleached my hair to a pale blonde, maybe a level 9 bordering on 10 (see 3rd photo). then i put adore green apple on freshly washed damp hair, covered in plastic/saran/glad wrap, added a bit of heat for like 3 mins from blow dryer, and left under wrap for about 45 mins. i rinsed it out in cool water rly well then conditioned (i dont rly use shampoo). didnt come off on my towel at allll!it ended up a lovely neon green (first photo). then i decided to check it under my uv nail lamp, and WOW. i tried arctic fox electric paradise which is supposed to be glowy, but it didnt take well in my hair. this stuff is GREAT!!!!! SO COOL!!!! 10/10 would recommendplease note this is a liquidy gel formula, not a cream, so while ime it spreads thru the hair more easily/u use less peoduct, it can be a bit drippy. def protect yr surfaces and put vaseline on yr skin and use gloves!!!

This stuff is to dye for!!
TL,DR: this stuff is legit, works on unbleached (but lightened) hair, it’s an alcohol-free aloe vera based formula, AND you get two bottles for the price of one!! That’s right — 2 for 1!My light brown hair asked for a colorful makeover. The last time I had dyed it was half a decade ago, and before then I kept going back and forth between carrot-top and tomatohead. I figured this time, should I embody a beetroot? Challenged accepted! And thus began this mission.Because my hair cannot handle bleach, I researched what is the best way to transform unbleached hair to purple. The first step was to lighten the hair a shade or two. I stumbled upon a variety of natural methods, and ended up doing a homemade paste of sorts using 3% hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and honey, leaving it on for 30 minutes before washing. I applied it twice — waited about two weeks between application. It made my hair a dark orangey copper the first time, then slightly more golden the second time. Nostalgia almost convinced me to stay with that color, but no… The mission was to get that bloody beetroot! The next step was finding a dye that works on unbleached hair. I had used “Wildfire” flavored Manic Panic the last time I dyed my hair, to obtain that spicy candy red. It didn’t let me down before, so why not go with that brand again, right? Ha! Right. It was quite the letdown. The concoction was more like a color depositing conditioner that didn’t deposit any color.Such deception… but! My determination superseded that feeling, so back to the drawing board I went. After researching legit semi-permanent dyes, I stumbled upon a few, one of them being Adore. I was leaning towards Arctic Fox at first, but after reading almost all the Amazon reviews on this product, I opted for their Purple Rage and Truly Red.I first applied the purple to most of my hair, then applied red to the bottom portion, the bangs, and some of the front strands of hair. I twisted each portion of hair like a cinnamon bun, covered them with a plastic cap, and “put them in the oven” by wrapping a heating pad around the cap (one review suggested to apply heat and mentioned using the heating pad instead of a hairdryer). Because I didn’t want to relive the panic Manic Panic gave me, I left the dyes on for about four hours to ensure proper color absorption. I then unwrapped and uncoiled the hair and washed the dyes out with only conditioner and not so warm but not cold water. And…As you can see from the photos, this stuff really works! To my surprise, the dyes actually didn’t leave my bathtub looking like the aftermath of La Batalla del Vino. The purple dye did leave a few small streaks, but they came off completely right after I cleaned the tub. Also, I didn’t realize at first, but this dye has no alcohol! I avoid any and every hair product with any variation of alcohol in it. My hair appreciates sobriety and hydration. The aloe vera in this formula provides the kind of hydration my hair unexpectically needed from a hair dye. It’s also worth mentioning the package comes with two bottles of dye for the price of one — same size bottle as Arctic Fox, but at half the cost! In this economy, that is most definitely a win. I ended up with four bottles altogether. Just one bottle of each color sufficed. Even after using so much of the one bottle of purple dye, I still had plenty left over. I put some in a separate bottle, added conditioner, mixed them up, and did the same in another bottle with the red.Although it ended up looking like a female Magneto and not so much a beetroot, I’d still consider this mission accomplished!I’m dyeing to try out other colors when I bluelieve I’m redy — maybe in another five years, maybe sooner! So, yeah… 10/10 would recommend!

It works. But be careful
Ive had blue hair for about 2 years and it wanted to find a cheap hair dye that does not fade fast and this one does not. But I highly recommend this dye if your on a budgetBYERS BE CAREFUL dont put this dye directly onto you hair because it will make it fell out so what I do so that is does not do that is i get a bowl and put it into there with a little water just enough to make the dye more gentleBut I highly recommend this dye go amd get it you whont regret it 😀

Great product
I never usually leave reviews but I'm so impressed with these dyes that I couldn't resist.I've used many permanent copper dyes over the years and they're never the right colour either too brown or too red rather than specific orangey-copper I was looking for. Frustrated, I decided to lift my natural hair colour (level 5) to an orangey blonde and then use a semi permanent colour over the top instead. After struggling to find a semi perm that wasn't too orange, I found Adore hair dye and will probably never look elsewhere now.Personally I think Adore produces the most natural looking ginger/copper semi perm hair dye I have found. I use French Cognac with Adore Ginger (shade 30) to create my perfect ginger. My hair always feels lovely after use and I like the gel formula. My mix changes every time as I never both to measure it properly but I tend to use between 1/3 French Cognac and 2/3 Ginger to 40% FC and 60% G.It does fade quickly (it is a semi perm after all) but I just mix some French Cognac and Ginger into a bottle of conditioner and leave it in for 15 minutes every time I wash my hair.

LOVE it would re-order
As you can on this picture, my colour is absolutely beautiful, vibrant under the sun, yet very discreet indoor, its not too much noticeable when indoor, that is what I LOVE THE MOST about, very affordable dye.Bear in mind that I had to bleach my hair first before dyeing in this colour. Also the truth is the colour does come out and stain the pillow cases for at least 5-7 days after the dye , and after every wash hence be careful and wear a bonnet until it dries up, this is obviously because it is semi permanent.I have recommend it to every ones that commented on how much they love my hair colour and wanted, so go ahead and do not hesitate.

Went over another colour! Mixed purples
Absolutely amazing product! Will only buy Adore from now on. Easy to use and very vibrant! I had blue in my hair which I was unable to remove with a bleach bath and Adore just went over it! Keep in mind photos are after two washes. Green is Electric Lime. And for purple I mixed Violet Gem and Purple Rage together, which made a lovely Cadbury purple shade that I was going for. The formula is more runny than I've expected, but I love it, as I use gloves more than a brush and it was really easy to spread down the hair strands.

New favourite dye!
I naturally have light brown hair and before using this dye it had been dyed using a permanent ginger dye that unfortunately faded very quickly. It faded to the colour you can see in the photo and i wanted to top it up but i didn't want to keep using permanent dye as I didn't want to damage my hair so I decided to switch to Adore as I knew semi permanent dye would be better for my hair. I actually only used about a third of one bottle and mixed it with a lot of conditioner.Because the colour of these dyes are so concentrated you can dilute them quite a bit and still get a good colour. As you can see from the second photo my hair is so much brighter now and still feels healthy and soft!! I still have another 2 uses from this bottle so it definitely will save me money in the future and still keep my hair nice and healthy. Highly recommend!

Works even on dark brown hair!
Fed up with hair in lockdown and always wanted to “go pink”! I have lightly permed dark brown hair with silver strands coming through. Put the dye on nearly towel dried hair. Put plastic cap on for about 20 minutes then rinsed, shampooed and rinsed again. Really pleased with result and got half a bottle left for when it’s washed out. II think I’ll leave it on longer next time to see if it goes pinker! It didn’t mark my pillowcase but guess it would if hair was damp. Very happy customer!!
