This coffee is advertised as fresh roasted coffee. It might not be roast on order but you would expect it to be fresh. Well this is not the case here. It is 33 days old which is not great. Also the roast level is not medium. It is medium to dark. I really struggled to get a decent cup of coffee from this one. Even aeropress would not give a clean cup. It feels ditter and muddy. I tried so many grind levels and temps and rations but I cent get the flavour profiles that I would expect.UPDATEThe seller saw my review and send me a freshly roasted coffee. That was an amazing customer service. WELL DONE! The roast level is still medium to dark. But it tasted lovely. Finally a good cup of coffee. I didn't strangle at all to get a good cup with aeropress or even espresso. This is a good coffee with chocolate finishing if it is fresh and not stale. So buy directly from the roaster to make sure that your coffee will be great!

Lightly roasted beans producing a great tasting coffee with no 'burnt / roast' taste so ideal for drinking without milk. Brewing in a cafetière produced a nice full bodied coffee with chocolate and nut flavours and no acidity. Will be buying again !!

Good flavours of coffee. Ethiopian beans have a great flavour profile. I wonder if the beans would have a better and consistent flavour if the beans where all medium roast as apposed to a blend of various roasts.

The main advantage of this company is that they ONLY produce small batches of their coffee roasts. I ordered some of their excellent Ethiopian Djimmah beans to expand my range of coffee tastes.Ethiopian Djimmah beans are a light roast and have hints of berries and cloves. The flavour is well rounded and rather moreish. I'm definitely going to be buying some more of this roast!!

It's a medium roast, maybe even medium to dark roast, and not light roast. It doesn't taste like an Ethiopian coffee and tastes bad. I wouldn't be surprised if they've repackaged left over beans or different beans. About the only thing going for it is that it's cheap but then you could buy better tasting coffee for the same price anyway.

delicious , syrup sponge cake followed by treacle plum tart , finally leaving a citrus lemon and lime flavour which lingers . mmmmmm , great coffee for after a light meal , maybe a bit too much for large ,rich meals . also superb for a morning coffee when you dont want dark roast . outstanding . highly recommended .

I had never tried coffee from Papua New Guinea before, but have really enjoyed the coffee I have had from Roast Shop Coffee.One thing I have learned with single origin coffee is how much the grind matters. I thought the PNG coffee was a little more bitter than the previous batch of Ethiopian I had from RSC, so I made the grind a little coarser (3 or 4 clicks on my Wifa) and it drastically improved the floral and sweet notes.I have been buying all my coffee from them for a while now and have loved all the coffee from them.I bought one coffee from them and it was a little darker roasted than I expected, I would have said it was more medium…. BUT I still really enjoyed it, I dropped them a note to say I was surprised how much I enjoyed it as I tend to prefer light roasts. It was not a complaint, it was a surprised compliment.They replied and were really friendly and sent out some free samples, which were also great. As I said, it was happy feedback and in no way a complaint.I think they must be a relatively small company, I hope they do well and I will continue to support them.

The media could not be loaded. I have been ordering my coffee from the roast coffee shop for several years. Always freshly roasted, high quality, well packaged coffee. I always recommend them to family and friends. I prefer espresso, but the beans makes good coffee with milk too.
