I grew up with this tea in Albania so fir me it’s the only “real” tea. I had only had it in Albania before, sometimes freshly plucked from the mountains, so I was skeptical of buying it in a package in the States, but from the moment I opened the bag and smelled the leaves, I was transported back to my childhood. I am so happy and thankful I found Ancient Foods!

Good strong flavor of sage.

The Greek Mountain Tea was a sealed packet of clean, still-green, fresh-looking whole buds and stems. Not broken or brown at all. Very tightly packed so a small bag yields a big fluffy bundle - good value as this will last a long time. You only need a little to brew a cup. I read up on the types of Greek Mountain Tea (different types of the Sideritis plant, different Greek regions) and looked at other brands available online in the US befote deciding on Ancient Foods. Very happy with this product. This tea is good with some Cretan honey. If you have never had it, it tastes and smells like a distant cousin of chamomile and mint. It is a unique scent and taste, and very pleasant. Crisp and not cloying.

But taste’s outstanding, smells wonderful. And probably the only thing we need in a cup of hot water. So simple, yet so extravagant.

Both the Mountain Tea and Chamomile are great. The chamomile is the best is fantastic. Be aware for the Mountain tea there are other parts of the plant, but this is totally normal and you should add it to your tea. The Mountain tea is great any time of the day, but is perfect in the evening and for the fall when you may start to feel unwell with the season changes, it has helped keep me healthy every year. I really recommend purchasing this!

This Greek Mountain Tea has a fresh light green appearance and a fresh herbal aroma. It smells like mountain herbs, a mix of chamomile, sage, and even a touch of cannabis. I agree with other reviewers that the taste is a bit mild (but not bad). To be fair I didn't try the recommended boiling method, and simply prepared it by steeping for several minutes. The price is on the high end of comparable products.

This was a new tea for me and I love it. It tastes like the mountains. It's perfectly earthy with hints of sage. I followed the brewing directions and added the recommended honey.

I had already tried their oliv oil, so I was really curious.Really great flavour, super fresh and aromatich. As soon as you open the pack you can smell the parfum.Approved also by my wife, the real expert in the family for Tea!Defiantly worth to try
