SternHungarian moustache wax 8ml

This really is a high-quality product. There are only three ingredients in its current iteration: water, gum arabic, and beeswax. Years ago, it had a preservative, but no longer, I confirmed this with the company, who by the way was extremely helpful with all my questions. Please note that Clubman's, Zeus, Got2bglued and other popular competitors contain DMDM hydantoin and/or other additives like parabens that you really don't want near your mouth. It's quite easy to apply, the smell is light and pleasant, and it holds very well. The key is to spread it through the mustache, and then hold the shape you desire until it sets. I will often use it with another wax, just to get the tips very pointed. Very pleased.

The cream colored wax is light-weight, has a pleasant scent and has a consistency of lotion. It was easy to work into my moustache, held it's shape for several hours with a medium hold, and was easy to wash out with water. I have a darker moustache, and I did notice the wax was somewhat more apparent (chalky appearance) with heavier applications, but nowhere near as obvious as I've experienced with the Clubman Neutral Wax.I definitely recommend adding this wax to your moustache grooming kit.

This is by far the best mustache wax I have ever used, and I've had my handle bar mustache for over 50 years. My only problem is it is only sold in a tiny little tube that does not last too long. If this was packaged in a larger receptacles it would surely control an even larger market share. The product itself lasts a full 8 hour day, with minor occasional 'twists", and is truly the best I have ever used...

I like Stern moustache wax...easier to apply than the Clubman that a friend gave me. Another brand (Hello Mello Fellow) that I tried comes in a container that is dispensed as a "lip balm" ...and a little hard to use as well. So far, Stern is my favorite...I'd recommend it.

Surprisingly , very good. I have been using mustache waxes for over 40 years . This wax applies very easy , not overpowering smell, the hold is moderate. If you need a strong hold , this is not the wax you want

Amazing moustache wax! I've tried many different products and this is one of my favorites. My stache is wild and hard to tame. Stern makes it want to curl and stay in place.I live it. Not great in hot temps, but not many waxes are are.

I have been using Clubman wax for several months with fairly good results. I now prefer Stern because how much easier the application is. It goes on and blends easier and stays in place better. I don't care for the smell, but the sent is only there for a short time during application.

I've previously only used beeswax-based wax, which smells great but needs warming up and has a tendency to set into lumps if you're not very careful applying it. This is significantly easier to use - it has the consistency of toothpaste and disappears into the moustache quickly with an even distribution. Quick comb through and smooth into shape with my fingers, and it's done.What I dislike is the smell. Someone else descibed it as "sour milk", which is spot on. It's not particularity strong, but it's also not something I'd choose to hold right under my nose. It dissipates quickly, but rather spoils the application for me.The hold seems pretty reasonable - particularly since it's so thin compared to other waxes. If you're not put off by the smell then I'd recommend this, and to be fair it's cheap enough to try.

Low natural odour, thin wax that is easy to apply and dries to a firm hold.Apply a small amount to an index finger, share with the other index finger and rub these on your thumbs and apply to moustache evenly and style. Can be brushed or combed through for even distribution.Washes out with warm water. This is a competition wax and is used by those who like a styled finish or to curl the ends. The product will air dry , if you are in a hurry, use a hairdryer on low heat.The wax is quite thick, after each use, hold the container from the end and shake to get the product to go to the cap end. Store on the cap end.

Sofern es jetzt bei dem Produkt keine großen Qualitätsschwankungen zwischen den Lieferungen gibt, kann ich viele der negativen Reviews nicht nachvollziehen. Es ist die am einfachsten und wirkungsvollste Bartwichse, die ich je probiert habe. Und, dass sich manche über die Menge beschweren verstehe ich auch nicht. Wieviel haut ihr euch denn von dem Zeug in den Bart? Schon kleine Mengen sind auch bei störrischen Barthaaren schon sehr wirkungsvoll und man kommt mit der Tube angesichts des Preises absolut lange genug aus. Einen starken Geruch hat sie imo auch keineswegs (evtl gabs da eine schlechte Charge?). Dass manche lieber eine klassische Tube hätten verstehe ich und ging mir auch so, aber man lernt die Vorteile der Plastiktube schnell zu schätzen.Was dem Produkt evtl. guttun würde, wäre eine "Gebrauchsanleitung" bzw. Tipps zur Anwendung und ich glaube hier kommt es bei den meisten Leuten zu Problemen, weils beim ersten Mal nicht gleich gut funktioniert und dann schnell schon die Flinte ins Korn werfen. Deswegen ein paar Tipps von mir:1.) Eure Barthaare sollten möglichst trocken sein. Stylen unmittelbar nach dem Duschen (auch wenn mit Handtuch getrocknet) macht alles schwieriger und der Bart lässt sich kaum in der gewünschten Form halten. Föhnt euren Bart trocken, wenn es schnell gehen muss.2.) Diese Bartwichse braucht etwas länger zum aushärten als die meisten anderen gängigen Produkte. Dafür haltet sie dann umso besser. Fettet euren Bart zunächst mal etwas damit ein, bringt ihn dann in Form und bleibt 1-2 Minuten vorm Spiegel stehen und korrigiert nach, bis sie gut eingezogen und härter ist. Bei Bedarf nochmal etwas dazugeben. Gut aufgetragen haltet die Form bei mir wirklich den ganzen Tag über, ohne erneutes Auftragen.3.) Wenn ihr ganz widerspenstige Barthaare habt, die einfach nicht dort sitzenbleiben wollen, wo sie sollen und immer wieder abstehen, dann verliert nicht die Geduld. Unmittelbar nach dem Auftragen ist die Bartwichse noch sehr weich, weicher als bei den meisten anderen. Deswegen haltet solche Problemstellen nach dem Auftragen kurze Zeit an der Stelle und in der Form zusammen, die ihr wollt. Sobald sie sich ein bisschen verhärtet hat, gibt es kein eigenwilliges Barthaarverhalten mehr und die Form sitzt bombenfest.4.) Nicht erschrecken, es wirkt am Anfang so, als ob einige (weiße) Rückstände im Bart übrigbleiben und einen "speckigen" Look hinterlassen. Die ziehen aber schnell ein, sofern es nicht gerade ein ganzer Klumpen ist. Ansonsten einfach nochmal drüber/hineinstreichen.5.) Es ist schwierig genau zu sagen welche Menge man pro Anwendung nehmen soll. So blöd es klingt, aber nehmt einfach mal zum probieren "zu viel" um eure gewünschte Form zu "erzwingen" und nehmt dann bei jeder neuen Anwendung ein bisschen weniger und irgendwann seid ihr an dem Punkt wo ihr wisst, was das Minimum ist, das ihr für euren Bart bzw. eure Form braucht.Hoffe das hilft einigen. I've been using this wax for nearly 3 years now and its AMAZING!! when I first started using it, it did have the strange smell that other reviews have mentioned, however they seem to have changed the formulation and this has no longer been the case for the last year or so, it pretty much smells of nothing now.This is not beeswax based so it dosen't leave the claggy lumpy bits that you find with those types of wax, this sets into a very firm smooth hard finish that is extremely durable, yet washes out easily with soap and water. The wax has the consistency of toothpaste straight out of the tube and is quite wet, I've found the best way to use it is to squeeze out about a pea sized bit onto a finger, then apply a small amount to one side of my moustache, work it for a few seconds into roughly the shape you want. Then repeat with the other side of your moustache, by the time you have done this then the first side has dried enough to be styled (best to do this with a tiny amount of wax on your fingers) into the finished shape you want and will hold firm, repeat this again with the other side and voila one styled moustache that is good for a whole day!!!Once you have tried this wax I would be amazed if you ever use anything else, its awesome!!!!!

I received a different product to the one I ordered, I made enquiries and the Supplier was apologetic andI was assured the product I received 'Brother's Love'- Echt bayerische Schnurrbartwichse is superior to myoriginal order. I can confirm this one does what it promises, long term hold of my stubborn moustache and a very pleasant aroma, I might yet try the other one sometime but in the meantime I am happy with what I received.I do agree with other comments, a larger amount then the 10ml tube would be an advantage. I give four stars on the premise that I received the wrong product and the small size the product is available in.
