Deckscape: Escape from Alcatraz Card Game

Not expensive fun for all

It was good.

Two escape room themes that have been overdone are a prison break-out and being locked in an Egyptian tomb. So I have to admit that I was somewhat pessimistic going into this game. After playing it with my wife, I have to admit that it was done rather well. The game is difficult enough to be challenging at times, but not so difficult to be overly frustrating. The story line flowed nicely and wasn't completely outlandish in believability. Most puzzles were straightforward, and for the few that weren't, you could kind of figure out what they were getting at. We had a good time with this one.Disclosure: Received as a gift from my wife. We found the game a little too hard for our simple minds. Granted, after the outcome was revealed we thought it was pretty clever. Good art work, durable cards. The Deckscape and Decktective series are both solid games.
