Q: Trying to work out what it could smell similar to. Does it smell like any other cologne?

I wear boss and sausage and bought this in airport as spare but it’s a lovey smell which is quite fresh /clean/ musky smell but I like it lasts all day

Q: How long does it last

There are two answers to this. One, depends on how often you use it. Two, depends on your skin's chemical make up. My son adores it and whenever we are in Spain I take some back for him. It's quite a strong scent which may not appeal to everyone. In my opinion, perfumes are so personal an item, that you are better off smelling it and trying before buying. Good luck, either way.
