seriously avoid this
Used this around my door jam, and within a couple of days it started breaking down from the simple friction involved from opening and shutting a door. However the absolute nightmare with this product is when you try to remove it, it you just cannot get the stuff off. It leaves behind a thick gummy residue that looks so bad you just have to get remove it. It took me about 2 hours with goo gone, acetone and razor blades. Do yourself a favor and get a name brand

DO NOT BUY, THIS IS HORRIBLE STUFF. Plastic strip permanently attached. Foam tears.
The description shows you peeling off the plastic strip to expose the adhesive side of the foam. On the 2 rolls I got, this can't be done. The plastic strip is permanently attached. Trying to get it to peel off just rips off a thin layer of foam. I ended up using 2 sided tape to attach it. I only got this because I wonted some that was thicker than normal. Unless you need something oversized, just get the off the shelf tape from Home Depot or Lowes. They work exactly as expected.

Excellent replacement for 2 defective Keliiyo buys – this works
I bought this as a replacement for the highly-rated Keliiyo brand weather strip purchases I made which were unusable as the protective tape over the adhesive had fuzzed to the foam – on two separate orders.Checked Amazon descriptions and reviews before buying the DGSL brand insulation tape in the 1” wide by 1/8” thick size in a 33’ roll @ $10.I hesitated because I wasn’t sure if this was right for my job – inside door which had settled showing an air gap between door & frame. The DGSL worked GREAT.It was super simple to etch the cover tape with a utility knife without cutting into the actual weather strip foam to expose a half inch of adhesive with the other half inch still in the cover tape. Easy peasy – the cover tape cut and peeled like it was made to do so. I stuck the adhesive half to the door frame and the taped half covered my air gap.Fast, simple, easy to cut, great cover tape, super adhesion once on my door at a modest price.I bought a 2nd roll for another door gap which worked equally well.Definitely recommend.

Unclear description...
Not 2.5" thick. Only about 0.35" thick. Not what I expected.

Very soft foam, not really useful at all
This is a very soft and thin foam, no where near what you might be expecting. There are applications for this type of thing but I suspect, like me, you are expecting a foam that will at least be somewhat of a gap-filler. Adhesion seems ok, I had no issues with the adhesive pulling off of the foam itself.

It works fine, once you remove the covering from the adhesive!
My husband installed this weather stripping on his sand blasting cabinet so the sand won't go out the door. He had trouble removing the protective covering from the adhesive, but once he got it off, the stripping was easy to install and seems to work fine. He is pleased with this product.

Good
Using it to seal the space between a closet and bedroom so no worry about weatherproofing for me. But it did what I wanted which was help keep the noise from the bedroom from the closet.

Did not use for weatherproofing, but worked for what I did.
My practice disc golf basket in my backyard was too loud when the chains clanged against the metal pole. Wrapped it in this stuff and it severely reduced the sound. Not it's intended use, but worked perfectly for me!
