LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Classic Character Edition (Amazon.co.uk Exclusive) (Nintendo Switch)

Fun game, lots of hours to put into it, with a good variety of in-story levels, optional side quests, and a huge number of collectibles. There's a free 'mumble' download if you prefer the original non speaking lego game experience. Game does glitch out sometimes, having to exit and re-enter a level to get in-game functions working properly again (progress generally saves ok) but on the whole pretty happy with it. Well worth buying.

Brought this as a bundle with the OLED Switch, having had and played previous Lego title, the original Lego Star Wars and the complete saga on the Wii a long time ago. I was aware what I was going into, however I was pleasantly surprised that there have been many updates since playing the last titles, most notably the inclusion of free roam around planet locations and the inclusion of space flight/ battles.Now the free roam is good and it is a nice inclusion, however it isn't something as free roam as a Skyrim, it is more in line with Borderlands free roam system, there are individual maps (planets) that you can travel too and then freely explore around before starting missions. The space battle element is more exploring around the planet close space area and it will bring you back should you travel out too far. Here (in free roam) you are able to change your characters too, with the traditional drop in drop out system or 1 - 2 players and changing characters in order to complete side missions, collection bricks etc.I like the variance of the characters/ players too, each character has been grouped into different classes, Sith, bounty hunter etc. Each class has different abilities which allows you to access different areas of the maps. They have unlock able abilities too so there are incentives to get the kyber bricks found around the galaxy.I like the ability to pick the game up and put it down without having to be too invested in it too great for playing on the sofa or travelling. Kids too will enjoy some light hearted cut scenes and easy to learn controls, with some difficulty for getting those gold medals, but easy enough to use and learn if you are interested in the story.Overall, a great game one I'm happy to play through again going back to unlock the blocked areas that I couldn't access first time round. I'd recommend it to anyone with kids or someone who's interested in the Star Wars universe.

Graphics are much better and there is a lot more to exlpore, but story mode is very short and some areas from the originals aren't available. Free play & explore mode are both fun with little quests you get from other characters. There's a few easy mini games in every location. There's plenty of things to destroy, it's still very hard to die, but there aren't many things to build unfortunatelyThere's a lot of improvements you can buy with studs & bricks which make gameplay more enjoyable, but there's also a lot of expensive ones that don't matter like. There is an insane amount of characters, I don't think I'll ever unlock all of them.

Having never had a console, I've found the lego games a great way to learn the fundamentals of how things work and this was no exception. Fun but not too hard, hints if something's taking you a while to figure out, and plenty of side missions to crack on with

An awesome game and it's addictive as hell. Hours upon hours of stuff to do/achieve.

This game exceeded our expectations! Each scene near mirrors the movies and is just fantastically made. So pleased with it and can recommend for both young and old!

I've only just started playing it so I can't say to much to soon but yeh seems like good stuff.....
