Hareline Dubbin Large Northern Bucktail

Ordered two bucktails a black one which is great . But the white one is terrible and unusable it is 80% tan and dirty and the Hair is falling out .

Worked great as needed. My only thing was that there was too much brown hair and not enough chartreuse more like 70/30. Seems kinda wasteful as I won’t be using the unneeded hairs.

After checking multiple reviews, I was uncertain if purchasing on AMAZON would workout, but do not have a local supplier, so I took a chance on this product. I was very pleased with the size and quality of the supplied buck tails.

Received product fast and in good shape. Just as expected. I've seen some reviews on the length of the fur but I must gotten lucky because this is perfect for my saltwater surf jigs. No complaints here!

Alot of thicker fibers good for tying bulkier flaired patterns, not a lot of long wispy-crinkly ones. Ideally in a bucktail you get 1/3 wispy, 1/3 intermediate hairs, and 1/3 bulky more hollow ones. But as with any natural material it's more like a spectrum. There are alot of thicker fiber on the back of the tail which are good for tying spun deer hair heads for poppers or whatever. So I like that aspect too.

This arrived at long last, and it was labled as a Large Bucktail but it's the smallest one I have yet seen--pretty small bucktail--mislabled.

I needed some white bucktail for tying some clousers. This is good quality and the hair is nice and long.

I used it tying flies. It was identical to that which I had purchased from name brand fly fishing stores.
