Great scope
Bought for my son as a graduation gift, he didn’t know he was getting it and absolutely thrilled with it. Nice and clear and can see for miles, bird watching just gone up a notch. No complaints here! Will need a stand as quite heavy to hold. Just bought the cheap one from Amazon basics for now-works well but will probably upgrade in time.

Poor picture quality
Unit is fine, but poor image quality meant I had to send it back and buy a different brand

Just the job
This is terrific value for money. With Jupiter and Mars shining brightly (and orangely) night after night I wanted something that got closer in than my 10x50 binoculars, but that was simpler and more user friendly than a telescope. Some fairly extensive research (and about 30 YouTube demo vids later) pointed me to this Svbony spotting scope. With the ED glass edition you get slightly more light through the lens, essential for night viewing. The twin focus wheels work excellently in conjunction with each other and the unit is satisfyingly compact and solid. You will need a good stable tripod (worth spending around a £100 or so for a genuinely stable one).I have now seen Saturn’s rings and Jupiter’s moons more clearly than ever before, and as for the surface of the Moon…I’ve already picked out a good camping spot!As an amateur star gazer and keen birder this is a quality piece of kit that, while not cheap, won’t completely break the bank, but more importantly won’t leave you wishing you’d spent more.
