Access to top shelf storage! Great quality.
This is a very good addition to any upper cabinet. I'm 5' 2". Finally, I have access to the upper shelf storage in my kitchen. I would buy more, but this is only available in 24" and 36" inches. My other cabinets are 30". If they made one in that size, I would buy it in a minute. Pros: Well designed Sturdy Easy to use Gives access to usually inaccessible upper shelves. Cons: A bit complicated to install. The instructions could be better.

Very well built
Neither my husband nor myself are particularly adapt at assembling items of this nature but I can tell you that he was able to put it together and install it all by himself (all day project for him because he is a little OCD). We just had new cabinets installed that go up to the ceiling (8 ft). I pre-ordered these pull down shelves thinking I would be able to better utilize the upper shelves in my new cabinets without having to drag out a step stool every time I needed to access something. Our upper cabinets are both 30" wide. Since these only came in 36" or 24" I got the smaller thinking I would only be sacrificing a few inches of space. Well the minute my husband finished installing them he called me in, knowing how much I value the new space my cabinets were giving me, and said, "I don't think you are going to be happy with these". Unfortunately he was right. Since they weren't wide enough to be mounted to the sides, they needed to be centered on the shelf, so I lost about 2.5-3 inches on both sides. Additionally, the shelves themselves are pretty thick and by the time I measured the inside area for storage it was around 16 inches wide. I was able to put more on one of my shelves than I could get on the two shelves that pulled down. So we decided to pull them out and return them. The other thing I would tell you is if you are planning to put these shelves in an upper cabinet like we did, you really should stabilize the shelf you attach it to. It is a good 20+ lbs before you put anything on it. When the unit was empty and we pulled it out, the shelf tried to come out as well. The videos of someone using the pull down shelves are actually mounted to the bottom of a cabinet. They really were well built and I wished it had fit my cabinets and that I didn't have to give up so much storage space to have them. We would have gladly stabilized the shelf if that had been the only issue. As for returning them, it could not have been easier! I printed out the labels and followed the instructions and within minutes of when my husband dropped them off at UPS, we were notified we would be reimbursed in 3-5 business days, but our $ was in the bank the very next day (minus the return shipping). I love all of my other Rev-a self products and have about 3 more in my cart for future purchases! I will use this vendor again. Very happy with the service!

GREAT FOR SHORT PEOPLE
NOT EASY TO INSTALL BUT GOT IT DONE. HAD TO RELOCATE ONCE TO ALLOW CABINET DOORS TO SHUT PROPERLY. QUALITY PRODUCT BUT RATHER EXPENSIVE.

The shelf installation should be fine if you are experienced with such things
It is a bit pricey, but works perfectly. The shelf installation should be fine if you are experienced with such things. The shelf comes down smoothly and can be locked in the down position (useful when you are working nearby and need to go back and forth). The storage space is ample and the basket shape is useful as it allows odd shaped items to be placed without them falling out. I wish there were more manufacturers who made such products. Also, it would have been nice to have a similar product for narrower cabinets (e.g 12in).

Good, but pistons make a grinding sound, and some minor design deficiencies
I just installed mine a week ago and the pistons make a grinding sound like metal on metal. Iโm afraid theyโll malfunction soon. So Iโm going to return and ask for a new unit just in case given that these pistons are so expensive. Other problem is that the upper shelf is not adjustable. It would been so easy to add that in this design. My mom can not reach to the upper shelf. Just 2 inches would have done the trick. I may end up drilling holes into tbr slides and then attaching the basket lower down. Next is issue is that the unit could have been slightly wider, perhaps my an inch if the bottom brackets were just an inch narrower. I donโt see the need for them to be this wide. Next we added some cardboard cut to size to place on each basket so stuff doesnโt fall thru the holes. My mom still loves the unit but these minor things get in the way.

Heavy Duty, Great Customer Service
The specs were spot-on, and the shelf works great. There was a slight problem with one of the pistons, and the customer service team was both very prompt and helpful in getting it resolved. It's a bit expensive, but very little out there is just like this, and the quality of the materials makes it look like this will be a very durable product.

Look elsewhere - avoid
I would give -1 star if I could. Bought this in October for kitchen renovation. It was professionally installed today. It works fine with nothing on it. As soon as any weight, even only a few condiments, is put on the shelves, it will not go up. So the pneumatic doesnโt work as intended even when only a few items are on one of the 2 shelves. It is past Amazon return period - Cost more than $600 - buyer beware. I have looked at all Rev-a-shelf materials and there is no indication that the lift mechanism is adjustable.

Love this shelf
I love this shelf. We have a cabinet above our island that is very hard to get into. I store my vitamins in there and ended up just leaving them on the counter which was annoying. So I installed this shelf. I pull it down, take all the vitamins, then easily send it back up again. Also we store some bandaids/first aid items in there so we need to be able to get to those ASAP. It came with no directions (although I did get shelf from the warehouse) but rev-a-shelf website has all the instructions online so therefore saves paper. I will say the shelf was very heavy so I put additional screws into my cabinet to make sure it was well attached to the wall (since it wasn't in a row of cabinets). It just seemed like with the weight and the pulling mechanism that it just would be better to be safe than sorry. Just follow the instructions for the laying out the pilot holes and you will be fine. The synchronization bar gets added last. I added it first but then had to take it off. It took a lot of pushing to close the gap of about 1/2 inch to screw on the synchronization bar but I'm guessing it has to be done to keep everything aligned properly. Also it was working strangely at first like I had to tug on it very hard when first installed but once I added all the weight of items on the shelves it worked super smoothly.

It works!
Works well. As a short person, have spent YEARS having difficulty reaching upper shelves. With age, has become more and more difficult to put things away in my upper cabinets. No more! These shelves have made it easy for me to put dishes away in my cupboards. I love them.

Not wall mounted
It was fairly easy to assemble but do not back the same mistake I did, itโs only for a cabinet, for some reason in my little mind I thought it would attach to the wall. Installed in a cabinet works well.
