Very good toy for a toddler.
We bought this for our grandson. He is only 18 months but most of the tools/accessories are safe enough for him to use with the exception of the nuts/bolts and the screw bit for the power drill. Also, the simulated 3D wood puzzle pieces to make the birdhouse, etc have to be be put away until he is older as he can bite little pieces off. He loves the shelves and the light. Overall a good toy for him even though this is technically for 3+ age group.

They thought of everything! Great toy!
I bought this for my 2 year old son. He has not stopped playing with it since I put it together a few hours ago.Assembly is simple. It would have been simpler if I wasn't one of those stupid girls that doesn't know how to use power tools. Took about 45 minutes, putting it together by myself without a drill. My 2 year old climbing over me and the parts trying to use his "tools" slowed down the process as well. :) There are few if any pre drilled holes in the parts. The screws that come with it go easily through the plastic without pre drilled holes. Might have been purposely done that way to prevent stripping the plastic? Not sure. The bench itself is great with a drawer under the main part of the tabletop, a large cubby for the "wood", a cabinet with a cubby underneath and above. The plastic jars for the screws slide into grooves, pegs attach on the back wall to hang tools and there is a working light above the work bench. The vise grip isn't great and it frustrates my son because it doesn't tighten very well on the "wood" but I think that will be fine once he gets a little older. The bench is sturdy and I think will last a long time. The vacuum while a cute touch is just a nuisance. It falls off and my son has pretty much ignored it.The tools that come with the bench are awesome. It includes a hammer, screwdriver, drill with 2 bits that work, wrench, pliers and a saw that makes a sawing sound when it is used on the fake wood. The wood pieces are foam, puzzle like pieces that have a wood grain. You can put the screws through them with the drill and cut them with the saw. My son has loved that the most. The light above the bench uses 3 AAA batteries and the drill needs 2 AA batteries. I had the AA on hand but had to pillage through my remotes to find some AAA's. Rookie mistake- you would think I didn't have another kid and go through all of this before, granted it was 12 years ago but whatever! It was worth paying the extra money for a quality toy that I think my son will enjoy for a long time.

Totally Worth Every Penny and Then Some!!!!
Love It! My Sons [ages 5 &3-1/2] have totally loved this over the past year of owning it.Every thing is made very well and sturdy. Totally! When I say My Little Guys are tuff on things, TRUST ME They are! The trickest part I remember was putting the drawer area together right. But I did it! [ and i didn't have full 100% function without pain of my right side when putting it togehter]. So If i can do it you can do it! It is easy. Directions were very good which helped. The Boys have had hours and hours of play with every thing it comes with. over the past year. Great for imagination play and getting their minds working. I thought them having their own work bench area would help them stay out of my tool box. It didn't totally but there were less moments of them seeking out my tool box. Plus when there was tool I needed that was missing I knew exactly where to find it :0)Totally worth every Penny and I can totally see this lasting from more years to come where after they grow out of it, I can pass it along to another family or some where in need for a workshop for some youngsters <3
