Hurry up Harry!
Great book for historical purposes. The only complaint is that this version chops the book into a smaller size. the original was much taller and felt less compressed.

Revealing the inside background of an often pre-judged word.
I found that this book was very interesting and informative because there often exists a racial connotation with the word "skinhead", that actually was a working class social movement stemming from England incorporating Reggae, Ska and Dub style music and an interpretative working class fashion associated with closely shaven head-hair.This inside persective and history of the formation of the skinhead social concept is often very pre-judged. I learned a whole new aspect of what the background was truly all about!

A must read for all Skins, Punks and Rudeboys alike!
Bought this for a brother whose original copy I lost back in Highschool! Now I see why he missed it so much! It's a great book outlining the Skinhead movement from the very beginning! A must read for all Skins, Punks and Rudeboys alike!

A worthy addition to any library.
Interesting allbeit only slightly biased attempt to describe "the best UK export in the world" the skinhead cult. Briefly explains the history, music, clothes and social attitudes of the late 1960's skinheads across their quick demise and revival by the late 1970's. Worthwhile having for the separate chapter on skinhead fashion and the multitude of photos which tell their own story.

A proper skin book
A lot of impressive photos, clearly written and shown. Brought back memories for me plus it could be used to show people, skinhead is more than Madness ha.

Genuine old-school photojournalism
Bit strange having a kindle book which is known mainly for the work of the author as a photojournalist.

good book
I quite liked this book.it has some background of skinhead culture and a guide on the various stages and fashion trends it went through, some cool pictures and a guide to some popular skinhead music.all in all gives a decent idea of what the culture is about. not terrifically long or detailed but an ok buy.
