Trumpeter 1/350 Scale USS Texas

While the USS Texas has recently left dry-dock, and diligently being restored, I got this kit to honor this famous warship.I would recommend this kit to those who want to take their time as it has over 840+ parts. It can seem daunting at times. The quality is very nice with nearly zero flash and ejection pin marks. The instructions are fairly decent and no real fitting issues.

Can't go wrong with this kit. Got this model because I am a big fan of World of Warships gane. Going to build based on the camo as seen in the game for the USS Texas.

I am extremely pleased with this model. It's well engineered and is a real challenge to build. At more than 800 pieces - many of the miniscule - you will need patience, a steady hand, and a well-lighted magnifying lamp. The laser-etched brass ladders and railings are a real challenge to work with, but give an wonderfully realistic appearance. Because of the minute detail, I recommend this model to only experienced modelers.

Very nice when completed. Very difficult to build, with numerous tiny parts and instructions were incomplete and hard to follow.

There was a small puncture in the box but nothing was damaged and my dad is gonna love this for his Christmas gift!

I haven't started the model but have inspected the pieces. This is a very fine molded model which has caused me to question if I need to use all of the photo-etch I purchased. The model is very complete and I can hardly wait to get started.

Extremely well done. Not for a novice modeler though. Construction of smaller guns their mounts and ammunition cabinets not to mention detailed photo etched aircraft catapult, railings and radar antennas, ladders, etc. require patience. Instruction sheet confusing in some areas and while two Kingfisher aircraft are provided (the ship actually had three assigned) national markings for only one are provided. None-the-less a fun build and for those interested, there are several excellent internet build reviews available for construction and painting tips.
