Safety Turtle New 2.0 Pet Immersion Pool/Water Alarm Kit for Pets ONLY

We had the wrist watch version for our son when he was little and we got the pet version because our golden retriever is not the best swimmer but has fallen into the pool. We velcro'd this to his collar and it works great--we no longer are worried that he might fall into the pool and we not know about it. The collar alarm is very low profile. The alarm is very loud--as it was in the child version--our home is 5K sq feet and you can hear it everywhere. Our dog has only set it off once "by accident" and even though he is a sloppy drinker, the alarm has not been activated. I would recommend 1000000%. Check bc the child version does not work with saline pools or salt water--be careful about that. And test it periodically to make sure it is working.Addition: Read the review about this not working bc of double pane windows...all of the windows and sliders in our house are circa 2014 Andersen double pane and the signal gets through easily.

With cheaply made products being made available to consumers, and me being a qualified electronic technician, I just had to look inside to see what I really have. The quality of this made in USA product exceeded my expectations. The Safety Turtle company has gone to great lengths to use only the best quality components and connectors throughout. It functions as claimed, and gives my wife and I great peace of mind knowing that although we are watching our puppy when she is around water, the Safety Turtle is also watching, and it never gets distracted or steps away for a few moments. We recommend you be sure the little turtle is very secure on your dog's collar so it doesn't become a chew toy!We are very happy with our Safety Turtle, and pleased that it is helping us watch over our little one. Safety Turtle is UNRELIABLE! We have had our for six months and have tested it on numerous occasions as it worked great! However, last night in the middle of the night the alarm sounded. My family was asleep. It was a horrible alarms sound to wake up to. I thought there was a fire, I ran to check my family and then noticed it was the Safety Turtle alarm? So odd?!?!? The collar was hung on the hook as our pup was sound asleep with us. We stumbled to turn off the piercing alarm in the middle of the night. I contacted Safety Turtle first thing this morning and they said it may have gotten a bad signal and offered to replace the base. I declined this offer. I do not want a UNRELIABLE product protecting my blind dog. Do not trust your pet or child life to Safety Turtle! They do not stand behind this UNRELIABLE product. You will see some great reviews-this is why we bought it but I guess it works until it does not and then it is too late.

I am thanking God for this device. My 4 lb chihuahua fell into our jacuzzi, luckily while I was outside, but I didn't immediately realize she was in there until I heard the sloshing of water. No yelp or cry, just a panicked dog paddle. She could have put her little legs down on the seat or swam to the exit step, but she didn't. She just swam in a panic, which would have turned into exhaustion had I not been there. I IMMEDIATELY got online and found this device and bought it on Amazon's wonderful same day delivery. It works as advertised and now both my littles have one on their collar. I did purchase new collars, however, that do not have a clip clasp in order to thread the turtle onto the collar. I do not trust that the pet version of this device (which comes with a velcro strap to wrap around the collar) will not fall off while they play in the yard. For the little pups, would highly recommend threading the turtle onto a collar. This device works exactly as advertised and the alarm is loud enough to hear throughout the house. I feared the turtle would be too big or heavy for my little gal, but she acts as if it isn't there. Whew. Feel so much better since having this device and scold myself for not having it sooner.

Overall a great product. Use it on our puppy when on a boat, and plug the main unit into a USB port and works REALLY well. Surprisingly good range - it worked once over 70m (210ft) away.There is a design fault in that the small 'turtle' has clips that will easily break off (and do). Suggest you don't reply on them and use a cable tie to attach a collar or similar item to the turtle or else you will lose it in the water one day.

Our 10 yr old male whose had a challenging 2020 of his own, in February had a disk issue in his neck and some great vets were able to fix him up, he's still missing some fur from the surgery, but it's almost back in full. He was back to chasing rabbits in the yard in no time at all. In September he was not acting well and to the vet to be diagnosed as a diabetic dog and treatment began. He began developing cataracts a few weeks ago and I ordered the Safety Turtle since we have a pool. Tonight he fell into the pool near the steps. As we sprinted out the door, he had made it to the steps and was getting out of the pool. I'm grateful he was able to swim to the steps, I'm more grateful we heard the alarm.

Bought this product last week. If I didn't my son would have died today.....I would like to thank the Turtle Safety company for their product. This is an alarm, it doesn't prevent your kid from reaching the pool. Our gate apparently couldn't keep our son out and he entered the pool, he was already under water by the time my wife pulled him out. This shocked everyone. Please spend the money and get a safe gate according pool safety regulations. But thank God we bought this product...Pools are so much fun, but they will kill your kid if not treated with respect.Thanks again owners of the Safety Turtle company. My wife reached out today to thank you personally. Please buy this product, it really did safe my son's life today. For the people that read this review, please spend the money and buy this product. I don't work for Safety Turtle and I'm a real person that almost lost his 2 year old son today.

Bought this for my bulldog. She is not a good swimmer and sinks like a stone in the pool. As soon as the turtle attached to her collar gets the slightest bit wet, the alarm goes off. And it is LOUD. You cannot ignore it. It is just what I was looking for.
