The installation was very straightforward and simple. No plumbing leaks after filling the tank and later I had very hot water. This newer model has better controls on the temperature setting, as well as the ability to turn the heater off if you want.

Will not purchase again. Purchased and installed a Franke HT-400 September 2022. The unit ceased heating water May 2024. Tried turning off/on and unplugging unit and let set for 30 mins. So, hired a plumbing company to service. Ended up back at their shop because they quoted a reasonable problem solving fee. Informed me heating element is bad requiring replacement. Would be almost as much as new one. So, the next undersink electric water will be manf. by a different manufacturer.

This Franke heater looks like a nice improvement vs the previous model. Received the unit after one day of order, and promptly installed it.

I've had 3 of these heaters. The first failed after 3 yrs and was replaced on warranty with no problem. (there is a 5 yr warranty). Two years later the replacement unit failed but replacement products are not warrantied. The company line is the warranty is attached to the sales receipt, not to the product itself.So short of changing brands and faucets etc, I rebought another unit so we'll see how that goes.They work well when they work.

Replaced original unit that was a ReadyHot that started leaking water at 4 yrs old. Hope to have better luck with Franke unit. Exact replacement. Working great so far. 👍😁

I installed this tank heater on 1/21/2022. And it has been working fine until this morning when I woke up with no hot water coming out of the faucet. I checked all the connections. There is no leak and water is supplied to the tank. Yet the lights just keep flashing in sequence and no heating noise. I will try to contact Franke because it has 5 year warranty. Hopefully, Amazon is an authorized dealer.

After being installed by a professional contractor the unit initially worked. Went on vacation for 12 days and came home to a defective FRANKE unit as I only got cold water. Unfortunately I got home exactly when I did it was one day after the unit could be returned to Amazon. This is a Terrible unit.

I am purchasing this one for the second time only because we created the space specifically for this unit and it broke down little after 2 years. I was expecting a longer life from Franke brand product.
